RILU = Residents for Improved Land Use. Grass Roots effort to get Seattle to move our Zoning forward. Suburban 1950s zoning isn't serving our community well.
Mayor Durkan's analysis isn't holding up so well. With approximately 95% of primary election ballots counted, District 1 incumbent Lisa Herbold and District 2 candidate Tammy Morales have both cracked 50% of the vote share. | via @richsssmith@leddder

More of the older voters get their votes in early. We knew this, but the chart & cumulative numbers might be interesting to people that like this kind of thing (Seattle, Aug 2019 City Council primary).
A comparison of the combined votes across all seats in Seattle's city council race in the Aug 2019 primary, grouped by major media endorser (The Stranger, The Seattle Times, neither) @TheStranger@SeaTimesOpinion
King County Elections released precinct level results for primary night (60% ballots counted). Attached chart shows how each precinct voted between the two candidates endorsed by either The Stranger or The Seattle Times.
Ballot return rate of Seattle voters that gave vouchers this year is 62.4% as of noon Aug 6th. Attached chart breaks this out for each city council candidate (with vouchers from > 100 district voters) (does not mean the voucher giver voted for that candidate)
Seattle Aug 6th primary, ballots in as of noon, broken out across 5 age groups of equal population size. 13% of registered voters under 30 have returned ballots, compared to 47% of registered voters over 63.
@CMTMosqueda@CMLGonzalez As the two councilmembers not up for election this year, I hope you can help encourage younger voters to get out and vote -- the future of the SCC depends on it!
Dear Civic Ventures, want to help prevent Seattle from being taken over by candidates backed by conservatives like Tim Burgess? Help spread the word that our younger people need to get out the vote. @NickHanauer @jessynfarrell1 @paulconstant
Seattle registered voters & ballots returned as of Aug 3rd (noon) by age group. Median registered voter age = 43, median age voted (ballot returned) = 56.
After 1 week of polling using Ranked Choice, Shaun Scott is 1st, and Alex Pedersen 2nd in the D4 poll.
If you haven't taken the poll yet, please do. It is anonymous and quick (just 3 questions).

@PoulChapman@SeattleSDCI Are you trying to get an address different than 123 Main St Unit 2?
It's the same as any condo or apartment that has multiple units on 1 parcel.
@sharethecities Nothing wrong with having social capital in your neighborhood, and living in the same house that long. I've lived in my for 26 years, and am as pro-density as they come (just don't touch our parks).
3 of the leading 4 candidates in Seattle's council race for District 4 are pro-housing, which is great. The main problem is the leading guy is pro-NIMBYism. People that care about Seattle's future and are in D4 need to get involved in the primary and vote.
