@ArchieBaless@Woop_x3@jamezqpr1 He left Fluminense under a similar cloud I think. Thinks he should be first team, but played like a wasteman every time I watched him.
Huge talent there, a shame.
@TheTippingTim@TakesofAC These changes are good, but not the first or only. This has been an acknowledged problem since 2000s and they have been taking steps to ameliorate it since.
@jakonian What percentage of likely Lib Dem voters do you suppose despise Starmer? Do you suppose many would have been won round if he'd attacked?
The right thing to do was offer gracious words today. Nothing whatsoever would be gained by kicking the guy when he's down.
@davidyelland Not sure whether you're just giddy and blowing smoke up his arse, or whether this is actually the level of "smarts" it takes to amaze you.
@peterrhague Starmer, and his failings, are manifestly not of the "type" of career and ex-lawyer politicians that have caused us problems. Your characterisation of him is excessively ungenerous and goes against much of what's publicly known about him.
Anyway. No offence, have a nice day.
@peterrhague Excessively drawing leaders from the military would also, very obviously, tend to produce particular shortcomings in democratic leadership.
There are too many career politicians and lawyers in politics. But we should still have some.
@jasonbiffa@ewangibbs Shame the Tories didn't manage to lose an election in the previous 14 years. Completely coincidence that their vote collapsed pretty much as soon as Starmer became leader.
