Hi,
@LatinXChem, Community! This is my research work, "FUNGAL PIGMENTS FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS: A COMPUTATIONAL APPROACH TO PROPERTIES EVALUATION". #LatinXChem24#LatinXChemComp#Comp130
@tef_gs@LatinXChem@insilicoRG@afcombariza In our current systems, the graphene is adsorbed onto the polymers, rather than end-grafted. This interaction is crucial for evaluating how adsorption affects the mechanical properties of the resulting nanocomposite
@tef_gs@LatinXChem@insilicoRG@afcombariza Specifically, we seek to understand how different polymer matrices—such as amylose, amylopectin, starch, and cellulose—behave when doped with graphene
@tef_gs@LatinXChem@insilicoRG@afcombariza Hi @tef_gs , thank you for your intervention. The main objective of our study is to predict the mechanical and physicochemical properties of nanocomposite systems formed by polymer-graphene interactions.
@Trujillo_Group @LatinXChem@insilicoRG@afcombariza Currently we have built 4 polymeric nanocomposite systems with graphene grafts for molecular dynamics. The polymers used were the following: Amylose, amilopectian, starch and cellulose, which were doped with 3 graphene plates respectively
@Trujillo_Group @LatinXChem@insilicoRG@afcombariza Hi @Trujillo_Group , Thank you for your intervention. The work is in progress, the aim is to predict mechanical and physicochemical properties of the proposed nanocomposite models
@joaquinbarroso@LatinXChem@insilicoRG@afcombariza To answer your question, this is a work in progress, in which we are in the exploratory phase. We are currently creating systems for molecular dynamics, using polymers with graphene grafts, in order to predict mechanical properties in this type of materials
