The video has been restricted on YouTube, so we are reposting it here for all to get a small glimpse of what Gazans have been experiencing long-before October 2023.
@KAMAKevinPrice@david_oyston17 @Xcellent78 Ah yes it’s a bunch of radical “mozlems” in their flip flops, praying 5x a day whilst running a hedge fund, lending money at extortionate interest rates and launching subversive attacks on the economy to get rich..
Well said. Plus we really need to critically think about the correct definition of “innocent” and “civilian” in this context.
Children aside , who are always innocent in my view, how can anyone else participating in the illegal J*wish occupation of Palestine be considered innocent or a civilian? I’m not sure that is even the case under pagan international laws promoted by most of the world, let alone superior, divinely revealed, Islamic law that is followed by those justifiably resisting the illegal occupation.

Assalamalykum Professor,
Firstly, there is no such thing as “Indian Kashmir”.
Second, I didn’t say anything about the place being well off or not. I said the ummah neglects it’s people and we should support it.
Whilst I’ve never visited personally - I have plenty of contacts who have and do and what they report is the opposite of what you are saying. Even you did not comment on the position of the people living in the rural locations.
Separately as an ummah, all else being equal, we have an obligation to those resisting the Indian occupation and asserting their right to self determination, as well as their families. We should all support them to strengthen their cause regardless of whether they are poor or not, to fulfil one of the explicit objectives and criteria of zakat.
BarakAllahu Feek
@AsimKhan21c Occupied Kashmir is neglected massively and not everyone can travel there easily to my knowledge. If you have a western passport and a registered charity organisation - it may be possible.

Shaam - just because it’s liberated doesn’t mean we should start to neglect it. In fact it’s time to double down on the opportunity and start projects which are not just band aids and of an emergency nature.
Afg - ditto.
