I know there are significant pressures on the police but you can spot a dodgy ebike from a mile away. They should be seized until the law changes and then the dodgy ones should continue to be seized.

My latest thoughts on ebikes: as I have mentioned at some point, I have a deep hatred of illegally modded ebikes (ie don't require the user to peddle). This is partly because it is against the rules and party because of the dickheads who ride them.

These bikes could form a useful part of green travel but the regulation needs to keep pace. At the moment, they are too quick, are low quality and often use the bike lane putting cyclists and pedestrians at risk.
