Amadori and Heyns products: Same mass, similar retention – but so different in shape!
In our latest research, published open access in @AnalBioanalChem, we took further steps towards the comprehensive analysis of the fructated proteome.

I would like to thank the editors for considering our work and giving it a platform to reach a wider audience. I highly enjoyed the collaboration and appreciate their contribution to this article.
Delighted to see that our research has been featured in the latest HPLC special issue of GIT Labor-Fachzeitschrift [04/2023], which focuses on bioanalytics.

Last but not least - the final chapter of my thesis is finally published in @AnalBioanalChem and available open access. This time, we studied the separation of isomeric early glycation products formed by the reaction of peptides with fructose or glucose using RP-HPLC and HILIC.
The method was validated for digests of fructated and glucated recombinant HSA and finally used to analyze human plasma digests spiked with isotope labeled Amadori-peptides and enriched for glycation products. (6)
Excited and proud to see our work finally published in analytical chemistry. A big thanks to my coauthors @MicheleWoelk and Ralf Hoffmann, and supporter @FedorovaLab!
