@opl_bpo With the incoming snow storm forecasting 20-30cm of snow, please make the decision to close branches tomorrow for the safety of your staff, some of whom have lengthy commutes. 🙏
So most everybody I talk to hates this return to the office announcement but it is actually interesting to see what folks focus on. It really depends on their backgrounds, both personally and professionally. Let's go through the list:
Forcing public servants who live outside of the city core to commute 3+ hours a day in snowstorms like today is apparently more important to @_MarkSutcliffe and @MonaFortier than worker well-being and transitioning office buildings into affordable housing.
@sarahlane No questions here, but I've been a fan since the TechTV days. Always admired your wit, humor, and amusing personality.
Sending you so many strong positive vibes & well-wishes. ✨ Keep on fighting! 🙌
I would love to hear an apology or even just an expression of regret from anyone who voted conservative in the last provincial election and actually realizes what a mistake that was.
The privatization of essential services and erosion of democracy is not true conservatism
A modest proposal: Every time Convoy lawyer Brendan Miller starts to ask a question, someone should blow an air horn in the courtroom. Let's see how he likes that after a week or two.
Didn’t realize it was Halloween and this AM I went through an entire grocery store experience with the employee dressed as a sexy butterfly. Thought to myself, just don’t engage, she’s on a journey. Happy Halloween everyone
Do NOT "both sides" this. The PCs are 100% to blame for disrupting your child's education.
How can parents tolerate knowing education workers use food banks bc the govt is underspending by 8 Billion Dollars?
Parents, stand with them for as long as it takes!

@Alan_S_Hale@jm_mcgrath Working is a losing proposition in this equation
The choice is clear.
Either you believe CUPE workers shouldn’t have to have 2nd jobs and/or need to access food banks to survive.
Or you stand with the @OntarioPCParty that believes a starving employee is a good employee!
CUPE says they are on strike "indefinitely" and vowing to return to the kind of labour action from the time before legally protected strikes even existed.
"They don't know what they have started." #onpoli
@ColinDMello@David_Moscrop Lecce: ‘We made a Charter protected legal right illegal. Now we’re going to have to punish you for exercising your legal right that we made illegal. This is all your fault!’

@maryjofoley I'm saddened of your departure from Windows Weekly as a regular panelist, but am SO happy for you and your new endeavor.
Hopefully you'll still make guest appearances on TWiT from time to time.
Wish you the very best!
@TheRobinDP@thurrott@maryjofoley@JenMsft The point being is I *can't* skip it. These nuisance 'preview' CUs install *themselves* then requires me to reboot AGAIN after having already rebooted for a regular monthly CU.
It should stay optional and only install when/IF the user specifically grants it.
.@thurrott@maryjofoley SIGH. Unsolicited installations of cumulative update "previews" have been happening for years on Windows 10, and now evidently also on 11.
Have you had any luck with getting Microsoft to even acknowledge this bug? Or do they "have nothing to share"? 😒
