Today, I welcomed His Excellency Goodluck Jonathan, the former President of Nigeria, at State House in Entebbe. H.E. Jonathan came to Uganda to officiate at the 14th Graduation Ceremony of Cavendish University where he serves as Chancellor. We discussed a wide range of issues concerning both of our countries.
🌍 From a poor background, losing parents, surviving wars & refugee camps… life hasn’t been easy. Yet by God’s grace, I hold a Master’s in Intl. Relations & Diplomacy. 🙏 I dream of a PhD to bring hope & smiles to my community. Any support means the world. 💔➡️📚
20k words far from a PhD, yet my viva voce felt like war. 30+ razor-sharp research doctors fired relentless, unexpected questions. Some went extreme. I stood firm on Cross-border Peace & Security (Kajo-Keji vs. Yumbe). Graduation victory is now loading… 🎓🔥
I was born into war and raised in chaos. I’ve never seen peace only bloodshed, abductions, and displacement. This violence isn’t accidental. It’s localized, organized, and sustained. And the government isn’t just watching it’s enabling it.
The Embassies of Canada, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States express grave concern over ongoing hostilities in several parts of South Sudan. This growing violence is in flagrant violation of the ceasefire and R-ARCSS agreements, and threatens the hopes for peace and development shared by all South Sudanese.
We specifically condemn the repeated attacks against civilians, including humanitarian workers, and medical facilities protected under international humanitarian law. These attacks are only exacerbating the suffering of the South Sudanese people. We are also seriously concerned by the inter-communal violence in several states and reports of restrictions on humanitarian access.
We call on all South Sudan’s leaders to work together urgently to stop the violence. This includes release of all political detainees, including the First Vice President, so that meaningful dialogue – the only route to sustainable peace for South Sudan – can proceed.
Which peace process? Which agreement? IGAD must stop playing with people’s lives. This is pure disinformation! There’s no peace here—just clashes, bombings, and roadside ambushs. Let’s be honest for once.

Great to host once again @SentinelProject to discuss @hagigawahid, an initiative which combats the spread of mis/disinformation, hate speech and harmful rumours. Just one of the many ways Canada’s #PSOPs is supporting peace and stability in #SouthSudan and beyond.
Our ED @sebitmartins & D'PM Lasu Visited NOA Primary School to see the new classroom block built with our FCAP Microgrant! Grateful to the community for prioritizing education and to @SparkMG for their invaluable partnership. #goCDC

"Exciting news! Engaging stakeholders in Bor and Wau for our @hagigawahid (misinformation management project) ahead of the anticipated gen elections has been a success. The feedback is promising! Now, we're gearing up for Yei and Malakal. Cheers, @CanSouthSudan, for the support
Today, we brought together the police, media house, women representatives, CSO, youth, community, church leaders, and other security organs for the first stakeholder engagement on misinformation management in Juba. We are excited about the positive feedback.
CDC @GoCDC, ACROSS, & RAPBI have been implementing the RRYH project with funding from CRVPF. Today marks a significant milestone as CRVPF completed due diligence for continuous funding under a new project. We're looking forward to working together for the next 5 years 🙏💙
