Greetings fellow Ugandans, fellow Africans and especially, the Bazzukulu.
I am sending out this message to, first of all, thank God for giving Maama and myself our wonderful children: Muhoozi (Muogi), Natasha (Kukuru), Patience (Pusi) and Kyaremeera (Kyinini)., protecting them and prospering them. Secondly, I want to thank Maama for looking after them especially for the years 1981-86 when she was the only parent near them. Thirdly, I salute the children for going through the school systems and branching out successfully in the different fields of life – family, career, etc.
Fourthly, I thank the Ugandans and some of the Africans for standing with and supporting our family and Political movement in the various endeavours we have been undertaking with them.
On this occasion, on the 24th of April 2026, I want to congratulate Gen. Muhoozi (Muogi) on this 52nd birthday. These children, in particular Muhoozi, were born in the resistance, grew up in the resistance, and, in various ways, have made significant contribution to the resistance. Gen. Muhoozi has made significant contribution to fighting corruption in the Army and increasing the lethality of the UPDF.
@MarieNangendo@Shalomheavens22 You are unbelievable. Are you a human being? Do you have daughters? Can you say the same thing about your daughter(s) when this situation happens to them?
@nssfug The biggest obstacle to saving is daily expenditure and the ever raising daily bills. I think before we learn how to save, we should spend more time learning how to successfully manage our daily expenditure and how to financially counter the ever raising daily bills.
President @KagutaMuseveni emphasised that peace in Uganda is sustained not only by security forces but by patriotic citizens who refuse to be used to destabilise their country.
I am happy to have completed 143 rallies across all districts of Uganda. These were not just rallies but celebrations. People came joyfully with their families. Uganda is now ranked among the five fastest-growing economies in the world, and with oil production coming on stream, we shall move even faster. This is clear progress.
I have heard threats of violence from the opposition. I urge Ugandans not to be intimidated. Go out and vote. Anyone who attempts to disrupt our peace will be dealt with firmly. Peace is guaranteed. I also remind our NRM structures at village level to mobilise in small groups. If each leader moves with three others, the numbers will speak for themselves.
Today, I am wrapping up the week-long PDM assessment tour of Wakiso District. I have addressed issues raised by media practitioners in the district at State Lodge Nakasero. The core message around Wakiso has been about leadership that cares for the needs of the people and not opposition, for the sake of opposition. A person who draws salary and allowances from the consolidated fund but does not sensitise their people on how to best access and utilize PDM, Emyooga or any other government funds, should not get the mandate of the people to lead them.
I expressed my interest in running for both the position of Presidential Flag Bearer and NRM Party National Chairman by picking up nomination forms at the NRM Headquarters in Kyadondo.
Since 1986, Uganda has progressed through five stages of development, and the NRM aims for the country to become a $500 billion economy in the next five years.
