BREAKING: Maj. Jason Watson has just been charged under the Uniform Code of Military Justice for three violations of Article 88 for “contemptuous” remarks about Trump.
Yes, you heard that right. He was just charged for calling for Trump’s impeachment.
A president who has service members arrested for speaking out against the president, isn’t a president. They are a dictator.
In the 1980s, maybe you’re right. By the 1990s the Stars and Stripes was losing credibility with us actual soldiers, but apparently not with media hacks that we don’t trust either.
Outrageous and sad. Decades have been devoted to building up the credibility of this publication to earn the trust of everyone in uniform—credibility and trust now being summarily destroyed by narcissistic and. ignorant hacks like Hegseth.
Let me get this straight. The head of the NYC DSA:
+ Went to Yale for sculpture
+ Never held a real job
+ Had his dad pay his rent
+ Failed an electrician apprenticeship
+ Lives in a $1.5M Brooklyn house bought by his parents
You literally couldn’t write a better parody.
well, I'm not either a "common good conservative" or a "post liberal", but I'll answer anyhow.
I did give up liberties and privileges and accepted boundaries on my rights that most of privileged modern people can only Imagine when I joined the Army and the 4 other times I swore the oath when I re-enlisted.
Today? I am willing to give up zero rights of mine ... or yours, for that matter.
none. nada. zip. zilch. zero.
RE: What Rights Are You Willing to Give Up?
I know I have been going on and on lately about “common good conservatism.”
That’s because I really want to understand the philosophy at a deep level as we head into the 2028 GOP primary season, as I think it may be THE issue of the primary season.
So please bear with me.
Now.
Here is a question for everyone and anyone who self-identifies as a “common good conservative” or a “post-liberal”:
*****
Please provide a list of the rights, privileges and liberties that YOU currently possess that you are willing to permanently forego in order to achieve the “common good” (however you define it).
*****
(NOTE: I did not ask which rights of other people you are willing to sacrifice. I asked which of YOUR rights you are willing to sacrifice.)
I anxiously await your well-reasoned answers.
"I was hungry" and you cut SNAP.
"I was thirsty" and you cut funding to ensure clean water.
"I was sick" and you cut medicaid.
"I was a stranger" and you deported me.
"I was in prison" and you exploited my labor.
"Whatever you do to the least of these, you do unto me."-Jesus
This is exactly how you elect Democrats who absolutely will do everything they can to take your guns away from you. Not voting is the utterly worst choice you can make.
@GunOwners @DAGToddBlanche And this is why I am not voting in the election. @DAGToddBlanche is choosing to defend keeping suppressors and short barreled firearms in the NFA even with no tax! Trumps DOJ. @realDonaldTrump@HouseGOP@SenateGOP
@KurtSchlichter You would like Lindsey Graham lol. Thank God you boomers are on your way out so we can fix this country you and your father’s generation destroyed. Don’t worry you’re going to be able to reunite with LG in Hell.
My latest column looks at how Democrats are drafting plans to to use the all-powerful, unitary executive that Trump has established (and the Roberts Court has blessed) to launch a new Progressive Era, in which a Democratic president imposes by executive fiat government-run health care and many other ideas liberals have long dreamed about but lacked the votes to enact. Virtually all of it can be done without Congress, using powers Trump has unlocked.
@CaseyMattox_ The nation's democracy is already dead because of Citizens United, Dobbs, Bruen and any decision writte by Gorsuch and Thomas, dontcha know
So, first, I'm supposed to just take Kristof's word for these things. He provides no evidence other than his own assertions.
Second, Liberia doesn't provide fuel for their own ambulances? They are failing at the most basic actions of a government, providing for the safety of their people, and that is supposed to be my problem?
And finally, honestly, these countries have a choice in my opinion. They can be independent nations with responsible governments that provide for the safety and security of their citizens. Or they can admit they suck at that and be colonies. They get our money, but we run the country.
.@elonmusk says that no one can name a person who died from his aid cuts. In fact, I've met the kids who are dying, and I've talked to the families who lost children. In my columns, I've cited many, many names of people who have died because of Musk's aid cuts. A few examples:
*Yamah Freeman was a 23-year-old woman who died in childbirth because Musk cut funding for the diesel for ambulances in her part of Liberia. She couldn't get to a hospital and died as people were carrying her there. I talked to her parents and sister in their village.
*Gbessey Kiadu, age 1, died of malaria because of his cuts to malaria medication in Liberia. I talked to his mom in her village.
*Ibrahim Koroma, an infant, died of AIDS in Sierra Leone after he interrupted HIV supplies. I talked to health workers who cared for him.
*Achol Deng was an 8-year-old girl with HIV in South Sudan who died when Musk cut funding for the health care worker who provided her medicines. I talked to the healthcare workers.
I could go on and on. In almost every village you go to in South Sudan, Uganda, Liberia, Sierra Leone or other countries I reported in, you find people dying because of aid cuts. I challenge Musk: Come with me on a reporting trip, and we'll talk to these moms and dads, and you'll see the dying children themselves. I think if you see the kids whose lives are at stake, maybe you'll change your mind.
charitable contributions? What has she made them to? Name the orgs. Bet is 99% leftist bullshit that helps no one but the NGO
All Musk has done is fund Trump. God, the Musk Derangement Syndrome is in full swing with you, isn't it?
how about you dude … what wars did you win? What’s your military service? Kurt, by the way, is a retired colonel and was a lieutenant during Desert Storm and contributed to the success of that war.
