Second Chance Foundation seeks to reduce the setbacks to girl child education on adolescent girls & young women in N. Ug with specific focus on teenage mothers
Over the years, the #Hike4GirlsUg has reached hundreds of adolescent girls across districts, equipping them not only with materials but also with confidence, knowledge and a sense of dignity.
This campaign is more than a hike, it is a symbolic journey toward equality, inclusion and justice for girls who feel left behind.
As we celebrated #MHDay2025, we are already geared up for the next edition of the hike and we invite everyone to join this movement for change.
Together, we can break cycles of shame, poverty, inequality and build futures where every girl can manage her period with dignity, pursue her education without disruption and grow up in a society that supports her rights.

To our Muslim fraternity, 🌸 Eid is a time to celebrate, cherish memories, and strengthen bonds. May your fasts be accepted and your prayers be answered on this day. Wishing you a wonderful Eid-ul-Fitr with your family and friends. Eid Mubarak! 🌸
It was a pleasure hosting our friends from Amani Initiative & Femi Foundation. They interacted with the girls during the session on Reproductive Health Rights. Our guest from Femi couldn't come to terms with some realities shared by the teenage mothers.

This 16 Days of Activism and beyond, let's change the story and create a future where we are all safe, equal and respected. Women and girls everywhere should be able to access the help they need, when they need it, so we can end violence once and for all.
Last week we were honoured to showcase what we are passionate about that is empowering young mothers to thrive at the ReimaginED exhibition in Nairobi that brought together so many Innovators and different change makers.

The level of teenage pregnancy in West Nile region is notably sad. I was shocked to find all these girls, below 17years filling the waiting desk at the antenatal unit of one of the facilities.

Really sad reality here. In these environments, a pregnancy is akin to a death sentence. Your life is halted, forever. A cycle of poverty, disease, recreated.
