Watch out for a resulting increase in fees.

I've lost count of the number of times clients and consultants have been surprised at how "good" we are compared to others they have used

@elainecresswll Absolutely. The amount quoted is the amount you want for undertaking the work. Any less and you don't want to do the work.

@elainecresswll As the market becomes flooded with projects, firms can afford to turn down projects and increase fees where there is no desperate need for the work. There will be no need to undercut.

This is not a home- it is housing. If the brief awards 12% to the design and 50% to cost then this is what wins the commission and more importantly, if you don't buy it, they will not build it.
