@RLuzmore It does depend on where you live. I know of a couple of authorities that almost enforce agency use through concerns that some schools might inadvertently not safeguard adequately. Of course, schools can & do create contracts for regular supplyers but casual might be problematic.

Have agreed a .6 job for the rest of the school year but I am now feeling anxious. I am fortunate that I don’t have to work for financial reasons. I am fairly vulnerable (overweight, 58, autoimmune disease). Honestly worried about the level of disregard for school transmission.

RWI seems to be the only synthetic phonics around - does anyone use anything else? While I can see how it is helping decoding, schools that use it heavily seem to not have any use of ‘real books’ alongside.
