Back online anout 15 minutes ago. Maples got power back about 5 minutes before Holiday Inn did. But both are back on now. And I my fridge/freezer are actually reasonably OK since it was chilly today. Woo.
Outage alert: We’re currently responding to a power outage affecting customers in the downtown area within the following boundaries: Wood St. to Carlton St. and Reverend Porter Ln. to Church St. Crews have located the fault and are working to restore power. Because this is an underground issue, repairs require multiple steps — switching, grounding and feeder work — which can take several hours. Restoration is currently estimated for 3 a.m. on Oct. 28, but this timing is subject to change.
For the latest outage updates, please refer to our outage map: https://t.co/3WUxx3zMx6. We appreciate your patience.
@LauraMakesStuff@miksurly7@TorontoHydro From what I can tell, it seems to be specifically Wood/Carlton. The Maples & Holiday Inn. But it's hard to tell exactly. There are many utility vehicles on Yonge Street near Wood currently. Repairs in a hydro vault. Super limited info.
@TorontoHydro please provide updates on the Carlton area outage. Out since 1am. The site estimates 6PM today? Thankfully we don't need AC or heat today, but still. Other issues like the freezer.

Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!
I made dinner for my roommate and myself. Lamb, roasted carrots, herbed potatoes, peas, and mint sauce. Yum!
