Anybody who wants to come after Ken Paxton will have to come through ME first.
I am not a Texan. But I am an AMERICAN. And I know that I want real patriots like Ken Paxton in the Senate. So we ALL have a horse in this race.
So come get me. If you want war, you’ve got it!
@schotts Internet tough guy tries to tell someone who went to war doesn't mean she knows the effects of war. Wild times, the right only respect veterans that vote and think exactly like them
@FEDERALRAPE I think everyone has seen this guy's photo. He couldn't even harm himself if he wanted to. Only through food but that's just because pdfs usually have poor impulse control
*fast forward and this actually happens*
"Listen guys there's no empirical data that Putin retweeting 'more like cry-me-a-river' is actually hurting politicians Hasan is campaigning with guys?"
You should not feel bad for being 100% correct.
Sarah joined the Log Cabin Republicans in 2011, and only deviated from Republicans because of Trump.
That group endorsed candidates like Romney who wanted to ban gay marriage.
It's obviously a tactical move because they are a pro-LGB (they removed the T recently) group, and I see them the say way trans people might support a slightly transphobic dem, but she was literally an LGBT republican voting for anti-LGBT candidates and trying to change them from within.
Okay to start,
1. I'm not the biggest Kiros fan but I don't have to be to understand what she's saying and the fears she has.
And 2. Please understand that not every single prop, bill, or law that is being sold as anti-human trafficking is immune from concerns of language used in the law and how broad it can be.
In a bill sponsored by Scott Bottoms (HB25-1145) proposing making it a class 2 felony to transport an out of state minor for an abortion. From the very FIRST line of the bill it states, "a bill for an act concerning the HUMAN TRAFFICKING of an out of state Minor into colorado for the purpose of assisting the minor in obtaining certain reproductive health-care services." This was proposed just last year.
The idea that human trafficking props or legislation is using rhetoric like trafficking in order to restrict people coming to get an abortion or gender affirming care did not come from no where and I guarantee that if you look through some of the profiles in these comments, you'll find people arguing that a mother who drives her daughter from Texas to Colorado for an abortion is a human trafficker or even a pedophile.
Regardless of your position on abortion, trying to equate a parent helping their child access medical care with human trafficking or pedophilia is an entirely different conversation from protecting children against sexual exploitation. Calling someone a criminal because you disagree with their medical decisions is imo
I promise that everyone thinks human trafficking and pedophilia is disgusting and those criminals MUST be held accountable and punished even harsher. Supporting humantrafficking is not the argument being made by me, Kiros, or anyone who isnt a pedo
Kiros and many liberals opposed HB25-1145 not because they support human trafficking, but because the bill proposed that taking your daughter to get an abortion would be considered human trafficking.
NOW (yapyapyap) Prop 133 and HB25-1145 are not the same thing. and HB25-1145 was shut down because of concerns I mentioned. But, when we already saw that the term human trafficker was being used to criminalize some access to healthcare it remains a concern especially with this being so close in time.
I am not 100% cosigning every interpretation Kiros has offered. I am saying that I understand where the concern comes from, and I think it deserves a good-faith response rather than accusations that someone is a pedophile for raising it.
There can be arguments and debates about this if it was not brought down to mudslinging. Like explain how human trafficking is defined and how it would be implemented while dissolving the real concerns being brought. We could disagree about the substance of the prop and whether the concerns are unfounded yanno?
Otherwise, we're just calling each other names instead of having a discussion about legislation that actually affects people's lives.
Thank you for letting me give you her side
