Once you get up a bit you really appreciate quite how close to the heart of London @CWGC's Tower Hill Memorial is. So many names of people who never came home from #WW1 and #WW2. Eerie to spot your own name among them (although no relation). Can't help but wonder 'what if'...
Following our report into historical cases of non-commemoration, we have taken the first steps to address the Special Committee's recommendations. This update is the first of a regular feature to keep you informed of our actions: https://t.co/M8I3g3qcnt
Dusk at Beaumont-Hamel #OTD 2020. My last work trip before everything changed. A spooky place to be on your own after sunset and steeped in legend. A hat tip to @VeteransENG_CA and @CWGC for preserving it so well #WW1
@flanders1914@blackrat1973@CWGC Thanks Peter, that's really interesting. I should have asked before I visited! Always feels like I'm learning since I was introduced to this world a few years ago
A brief but nonetheless impressive first working visit to Shorncliffe Military Cemetery. It's a rather special feeling place atop the hill and with it's sloped layout. A @CWGC colleague pointed out the bullet marks from when the site was strafed in #WW2
@flanders1914@CWGC I stand corrected! Sounds like some fascinating stories you've researched. It was a bit of a flying visit but always appreciate learning more about these sites.
Wow, what a special way to end a reassuringly busy week of #RemembranceDay work from the great team @CWGC. A joy to be a part of #ShineOn and see so many people get involved online to pay tribute #ArmistaceDay
We only launched @CWGC's #ShineOn yesterday and our digital sky already has more than 1,000 stars named by the public, in honour of someone they're thinking of ahead of #RemembranceDay. Wonderful to see so much involvement. Check it out here: https://t.co/HgjBsD60Sv
This #ArmisticeDay the @CWGC is calling upon members of the public to partake in a form of remembrance like no other. Join us in looking up to the stars at 7pm on 11 November to remember those who died during the two World Wars. Learn more, here: https://t.co/uhNj3QDyN7 #ShineOn

Thanks to the help of one of our teams in the Netherlands the @CWGC is aiding the development of medicines to treat cancer, with the careful collection of yew hedge trimmings at Eindhoven (Woensel) General Cemetery. Read more: https://t.co/6doLl8lgQA #OurWorkContinues#WeAreCWGC
A very tasty (and very '2020') alternative to @CWGC's staff summer bash. Team online cooking class for paella and a break in the rain to enjoy eating it in the garden, cheers for hosting @JamesMartinMCR ๐ฅ
After @CWGC Media Officer @SeeJayAnderson was posed the question: โwhere are the worldโs most northern and southern Commonwealth war graves?โ it was a challenge that he took upon himself to find out. As you can read about in the latest #CWGCblog, here: https://t.co/gz9AarTsqv
Happy 100th Birthday to #WW2 veteran Ron Cross MBE. We interviewed Ron, who landed on Juno Beach on D-Day, for our #VoicesOfLiberation project - he also unveiled our sound installation at the Portsmouth Naval Memorial. Listen to his interview: https://t.co/jO0VnwVHdP. #DDay76
