@number_pizza111 Nah I graduated college in fall 2022. ChatGPT came out in November and popularized early 2023. Completely missed low interest low cost homes, and the covid era jobs - those were earlier. Worst part is I had to watch them come and go without being able to do anything. Born 98.

@disc0daydream Those questions are a bit rhetorical, I understand. My point is that disability is on the rise everywhere. I don't think you have any reason to believe that gen z disproportionally focuses on health due to some personal moral failing.

@AliArthPainter Maybe you don't understand. Boys are framed as agressive and poorly behaved while girls are framed as crazy and poorly behaved. Neither is the correct framing but this framing creates a disproportional impact to boys because agressive behavior is more outwardly impactful.

@hnj3pd I don't think the distinction matters at all for this discussion. The point is what may be "helpful" now could be discovered to be harmful later. The point is not to place psych docs on a pedestal, and that many of the certainties they express are deeply flawed.

@peachlybeloved Saying "You are not special" doesn't exactly seem humanizing. Anti-intellectualism is a problem, pointing out faulty logic shouldn't be a moral issue. If a large group of people are banding together on the shared faulty logic, that seems like a big issue.
