@FirstTake@VinceGoodwill The holes in the lakers roster are the same holes since they broke up the championship team in 21/22. A legit center & 3&D wings. Stop implying that Bron is the problem & he’s the reason Pelinka is unable to do his job. Even after the lakers made the WCF he didn’t address this.
@dockery58@UnderdogNBA He’s been tasked with solving the same problems since he & Jeanie Buss broke up the championship team. Find a legit Center & 3 & D wings. It’s been the same thing since 2021/2022. The lakers made it all the way back to the WCF with those glaring holes & he still didn’t fix them.
@dagreight_1@GetUpESPN@RealMikeWilbon Flopping & selling of calls is a result of rules not being enforced consistently. They need to change the definitions in the rulebook, this will cut down on players complaining, selling calls, & flopping. Silver said there’s contact but it’s not a foul, rulebook says otherwise.
@TRBurgh@PatMcAfeeShow@ToneDigz They flop because the refs are not consistent with calls based on the rule book. The game is officiated differently based on the ref, player, quarter, regular season v postseason, etc. He just said that there’s contact on every play but it doesn’t mean it’s a foul (huge problem).
@HeartBreaKidd7@TheDunkCentral@WindhorstESPN What would be the purpose of him taking less money to resign with the lakers? 😂 Does him signing for less money help him or the lakers?
@HeartBreaKidd7@TheDunkCentral@WindhorstESPN What’s unrealistic about this request? He’s not taking a pay cut so the lakers can sign bums. All the lakers have to do is come up with a plan to improve the roster and he will sign for less money.
@RatioNChill@calvingonba It wasn’t just Rob, it was Jeanie too. She didn’t have the funds to keep up which is why they eventually sold the team. Go back & look at all of their moves after winning a championship, it was all about saving money, preserving cap space, or upgrading around the edges.
@xaviercross1971@SamQuinnCBS He’s not hard to grade. Lebron & Reaves chose the lakers, you don’t get AD without LeBron, & he lucked into Luka. Now look at everything else holistically. Every other decision was based saving money or upgrading around the edges. I give him credit for Rui and Kennard though.
@AtthebuzzerFTW@AsWindAndFire@NBA__Courtside If Lebron is on the team it’s a super team. He can go to the worst team in the NBA and it will be a super team because of him. It would be team hopping because it’s LeBron too…. I’m joking bro, I’m trying to see how many brain cells LeBron haters lose by posting dumb comments.
@AtthebuzzerFTW@AsWindAndFire@NBA__Courtside Yes, the lakers have a super team 😂. Even if he goes to the wizards or the kings he would be jumping on the bandwagon and creating a super team 😂 😂.
@pauly1UP@AnimeMangaGuy@NBA__Courtside He’s taken pay cuts with the Lakers & even offered to take a significant pay cut in recent years if Rob Pelinka was able to come up with a plan to improve the roster. The problem is Pelinka has not been able to do that & LeBron is taking a pay cut for a Jake LaRavia type player.
@ClayM24@FlorianBenfaid I think everyone would be fine with any level of physicality as long as the refs called the games consistently and stopped calling flops.
@Lakersided310@RTNBA This shouldn’t be that surprising if you look at their offseason moves & trades over the past 5 years. They have been shedding $$$, avoiding long term salary, & they have been reluctant to trade draft picks. The focus has been value signing in hopes that something sticks.
@dubsonlysports Bulls made the playoffs all of these years too. Also, before they started adding teams, playoff teams were drafting as high as #8 in the draft because there were only 23 teams in the league.
@mike_daddino Yall remember when they allowed Anthony Edwards and other Timberwolves’ players to two-hand push LeBron multiple times as he was running up the court?
@CyberGuyVick@FirstTake@TheJetOnTNT 1. They didn’t have the $$ to keep up with the costs of team ownership (All the moves after winning in 2020 were about saving $$) 2. They thought LeBron would decline like Kobe & they didn’t want to be back in the same boat they were in before he saved them. (Not trading assets)
