@Kaebium90 @joe_fh101@HackerVilela It was done for emulation specifically because those games were not designed with accessibility in mind. Meaning, not designed in consideration of epilepsy, color blindness, and other visual-related impairments.
@HackerVilela I think I'd have to try to say for sure, but 30 FPS sure sounds great!
I'm not familiar with how the SNES handles resolution. Is it static per game, or per "level" (ex menu vs in game)
As someone else mentioned, an option for resolution vs FPS would be ideal to try both.
@HackerVilela Mega Man X? There wasn't too much slowdown, but I distinctly remember it at a few scenes with a large number of sprites:
Storm Eagle: exploding gates
Sting Chameleon: Hidden Sub Boss explosion
Flame Mammoth stage?
All bosses: Defeat explosion?
Armor Upgrades?
@HackerVilela WOW! This is awesome! I have such a soft spot for this game in all forms. Really looking forward to this one! Thanks for your continued support on improving old games!
@GameSack@briancryptonix Awesome, thanks for sharing! Time to keep my eye out on my weekly curb walks. Lots of free pickings here in Philadelphia with people cleaning out during covid.
@GameSack Hey @GameSack, any chance we can get a rundown of your setup? Not familiar with that TV and whatever is beneath it. Also curious about the NEC monitor. I'm assuming that's maybe for Dreamcast and other VGA connections? Those were great flat screens back on the day.
@GameSack Also happened with DS2 if I'm remembering correctly. This is all my own pure speculation from memory. This is what I wrote it off as back then, but I always wondered but never asked.
@GameSack This happened to me all of the time back in the day. I had a console from fall 1999, if that matters. I always assumed it was something in the games code. It only seemed to happen with specific games, usually between cut scenes.
@GameSack From memory, cut scenes, or times when the game loads something. Engine or resolution changes, that kind of thing. Assuming it was loading new code into memory and maybe "Dual Shock on" wasn't in the code, or perhaps it says alternate "Dual Shock on" turning it off if it were on.
@XLuis__MartinsX@DintheAbary@paprium_fiasco Hey there, just wanna say this has been the most ridiculous Christmas miracle! I don't work in the industry but seeing that you do, and found the time to put towards Paprium, AND finally get to see it released makes it that much better for me. I hope you had as much fun...
@Groovemaster303 Whoa, you worked on SOR Remake AND Paprium?! That's awesome! Got Paprium this week and loving it! Thanks for your work and happy things finally came together!!
