महाराष्ट्र की भूमि पर स्थित नंदूर मध्यमेश्वर गर्व के साथ रामसर स्थलों की सूची में शुमार है। इस समृद्ध आर्द्रभूमि में धरती और जल की अनगिनत जीवन परतें बसती हैं – लगभग 536 प्रकार की वनस्पतियाँ, 265 प्रजातियों के चहकते पक्षी, लगभग 24 मीठे पानी की मछलियाँ, लगभग 41 रंग-बिरंगी तितलियाँ और लगभग 8 स्तनपायी इस स्थल को जीवंतता से भर देते हैं। यह अभयारण्य पक्षी प्रेमियों और विशेषज्ञों के लिए परलोक के समान है, जहाँ हर साल 265 से अधिक प्रवासी पक्षियाँ अपनी रंग-बिरंगी छटा बिखेरती हैं, जिनमें संकटग्रस्त प्रजातियाँ जैसे ईस्टर्न इम्पीरियल ईगल, ब्रिसल्ड ग्रास बर्ड, वूली-नेक्ड स्टॉर्क, व्हाइट-रंप्ड वल्चर और इजिप्शियन वल्चर भी शामिल हैं, जो इस अभयारण्य की विशिष्टता को और बढ़ाते हैं। इसके अलावा इस आर्द्रभूमि को इंटरनेशनल यूनियन फॉर कंजर्वेशन ऑफ नेचर (IUCN) द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त है, क्योंकि यह अभयारण्य जलपक्षियों और जलीय जीवों के लिए सुरक्षित आश्रय स्थल है, जो वैश्विक जैव विविधता संरक्षण में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान देता है।

Renowned litterateur and Jnanpith Award awardee Vinod Kumar Shukla passed away in Raipur.

Mr. Shukla, who was around 88 years old, had been undergoing treatment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, AIIMS Raipur, for the past few days.

#VinodKumarShukla was recently honoured with the prestigious #JnanpithAward. He was also conferred with the #SahityaAkademiAward for his novel, Deewar Mein Ek Khidki.
