@Seth_Lugibihl @planetmoney I’ve asked many friends if they’ve noticed a similar thing and on my Facebook I got a *slew* of replies that yes this is happening much more frequently the last 3-6 months.
@planetmoney you’ve done such great reporting on amazon in the past, why does their 2 day shipping mean *nothing* anymore. So often lately I’ve ordered something that says 2 day shipping and then I immediately get an email that basically says just kidding. There must be a reason
@Seth_Lugibihl @planetmoney I’m talking about when you look at the item it says it’ll get to you in 2 days and then when you order it the confirmation email immediately says “you will get this item on x date” (a month from now). Not like, some weird shipping thing happened where it just didn’t get there
However, I also read a lot about how millennials are just much poorer in terms of income and also because of student loans that they can’t afford to buy houses. I never see these two facts put side by side. Won’t the housing market go down if millennials can’t afford any houses?
@planetmoney second question: I see a lot of things about the housing market that says that inventory is so low, especially considering how many millennials there are who will need homes that this explains why the housing market will keep going up and up
I’ve had to cancel so many things recently because of this and it never used to happen. It honestly feels bait and switch-ish. Did they change something of how “two day shipping” works? Like, I understand not everything is 2 days but if they can say you can get it in 2 days wtf?
Have you heard about this @vitaminwater contest where you give up your smart phone for a year to get $100,000? I honestly don't think it would be that hard to go without a smart phone for a year assuming you could still use a computer. #nophoneforayear#contest
@FlorianHollandt@falicon Working hard at changing criminal law in Pennsylvania. It might not be as exciting to voice dev to most people but I’m really loving what I’m doing (and it’s a lot of work! :))
@FlorianHollandt Totally agree! If there’s no “story” then it’s not an interactive story. Mario for NES had the semblance of a plot and I still wouldn’t call it an interactive story. 🙄
Then I get to my seat and not only is it torn (this is one of those brand new recliner seat theaters!) but there’s popcorn all over the seat and an empty cup in the cup holder. I think I’m being punked.
Will never be going to an @AMCTheatres again. Line was so long to buy tickets so I downloaded their app only to realize they charged me a $3.50 “convenience fee” and now the place is a nightmare mess. Can’t even get to my theater bc of a huge downed sign no one is dealing with
My latest Medium piece is a personal one. It's about what happened to me four years ago when I decided to spend a year ignoring the "what ifs" and saying yes to as many things as I could. https://t.co/7tt2WBtQ7C
