The problem isn’t letting your partner know you need space. The problem is how you let them know. If you’re going to tell someone you love, and who you know is just as crazy about you that you wouldn’t be in touch with them for a whole day… then you need to do so in a way that wouldn’t send their sympathetic nervous system into haywire.
