Spent a few hours going through the latest YC batch: 95% of companies are chasing generative AI for {video ads, marketing copy, graphic design, etc.}.

No one is working to fix the negative externalities of AI: misinformation, inauthentic content, AI slop everywhere.

The balance is off.

Given current talent distributions, building provable technologies might be the most important thing to work on.
