Another brilliant piece by John Hewson.

He doesn’t mince words or miss a beat in regard to the unlikelihood of an electable opposition.

From Dutton’s almost child-like opposition to anything that Labor says or does, Dutton’s unpopularity as leader in the polls, the disgraceful and racially based Dutton-led No campaign’, the ridiculous distraction of Albanese’s travel- while ignoring the fact the the coalition spent the equivalent or more on travel while in government, Dutton’s lost credibility and lies - to Dutton’s behaviour regarding the HC decision on ‘illegality of indefinite detention’

Hewson doesn’t hold back with this little gem:

“Negativity and denial are not election-winning policies or strategies. Nor is continuing to drag the Coalition further and further to the right of the political spectrum”

Hewson is an exceptional writer and was a good politician. The leader the Coalition should have had as PM. The coalition from Howard through to Dutton has now swung too far to the right to be redeemed.

The leftovers are unelectable. In their present form , it is unlikely that they would win an election…. But the media still continue to tinsel the t*rd. Which tells me more about the lack of integrity, lack of ethics and vested interests of the media than anything else.
