Hoping to stay humble and continuously learn from the team, industry partners and vendors.
Looking forward to long weeks, long nights, and hard work to build something new.
@herbertong@thejefflutz No, we will build and run the fab. Let there be ZERO doubt about that.
Maybe TSMC subleases part of the Terafab if they want, but nothing more than that.

Semiconductor hands-on equipment engineers and lead equipment technicians: We are hiring for tool install, start-up, and qualification. New fab. Real tools. From crate to process-ready. If you take pride in a clean install and a tight qual — and you want to set the record for how it’s done — join us.

One of the most compelling parts about working at an ElonCo was the agility to pivot to whatever the most important problem was.
One day I said: I wasn’t hired to go after spam, but a tsunami is coming and I’m going to drop everything to focus on that.
The org is so flat and agile that your title is basically meaningless. Anyone can sound the alarm about a problem and solve it themselves—or rally the team to join them.
This is how startups work but it’s very hard to make it work in a larger company.
Defining moments are not when things succeeded but when you meet a roadblock. Get motivated to find solutions when you encounter engineering challenges
Grok is right.
To add; Wet Etch includes Wet Cleans. Colloquially these terms get used interchangeably in the industry a lot. You might hear different opinions from different experts on which vocab they prefer.
A wet clean/etch expert will usually own both processes. Most define wet clean as a process will be used to remove particles or residues from the wafer that can impact downstream patterning. Wet cleans can also be used to change trace contamination or functionalization at an interface or surface compared to a wet (selective) etch as clearly defined by @grok
Hi Etch friends - we’re hiring. https://t.co/wpL20KIABG
We’re taking a One Etch approach to our process and process equipment needs: one team, shared ownership, and a bias toward solving the hard problems together. Helping all other modules and working with internal customers to solve problems, not just your Etch process items.
If you want to work on something new, fun, and genuinely hard - this is for you.
What you’ll find here:
> high-energy team with extreme ownership
> mix of innovators and industry veterans
> staying humble and learning from teammates, industry partners, and vendors
> challenging and fun problems --> move fast
We’re looking for experienced talent who will own problems end to end, question “the way it’s always been done,” and help build the next generation of etch processes and integration from first principles.

💯- pick your top 1-2 objectives and try this. It will be fun, it will be sloppy, and everything else might get deprioritized but you will accomplish so much.
> speed usually wins
> move fast and always be learning

Elon Musk was right, compress the timeline. Take your 10 year plan and try to do it in 6 months. You’ll probably fail, but you’ll be so far ahead of everyone else that it doesn’t matter.

@jjkaplowitz If you can’t find a place try furnished finders. I used it to find some good short term lease places!
Better if you can find another entrepreneur to crash or rent a room through using X though!
X is becoming a good place to network, find jobs, find like minded individuals and get personal recommendations for things in your city.
Pro tip: have a scroll account for maybe 2-3 topics per account. Using this one only for semiconductor and networking made my feed curated
