It’s okay to ask for help.
And if your mind immediately rebels that thought, please know that we are here and won’t let you down.
You deserve to feel supported.
Honored to have met & spent the day with Dr. @EllenJMacKenzie, the current Dean, & Dr. Soomer (Dean Emeritus) of @JohnsHopkinsSPH today.
From learning about the school’s legacy, to receiving books, wisdom, & encouragement, I walked away inspired to lead with heart & purpose.
We walked through halls of legacy & I received a challenge: “Don’t just learn-lead.”
As a rising public health leader, this moment was very historic for me. The future of public health is in good hands & I’m excited about the future.
This is just the beginning!
Honored to join the 2025 @WashFellowship cohort at @UMBaltimore, where I’ll be deepening my commitment to global mental health, youth engagement in public health, and civic leadership.
Grateful for a journey rooted in purpose, driven by passion, and rich with meaning.

@AminaJMohammed
Together, we aligned on a shared vision to close critical gaps & accelerate evidence-based #MentalHealth solutions in humanitarian settings…
What an honor to have been invited by Her Excellency @AminaJMohammed -Deputy Secretary General @UN to speak at the @UN#MentaHealth in Humanitarian Settings High-Level Retreat in Newyork, USA.
In a world marked by escalating conflicts, climate crises, & growing
displacement, #MentalHealth is more crucial than ever. Communities are facing
unprecedented pressures, & the strain on individuals in humanitarian settings & the
people who serve in these settings is immense. Prioritizing mental health is vital not only for individual well-being but for building resilient societies.
Thank you DSG @AminaJMohammed for recognising my work & for a such a warm welcome.
This is the beginning of the great milestones to be achieved. And indeed, there’s no health without #mentalhealth
