@NewfangledDad If you don’t like the landlord’s rules, find a different property. It’s like shopping. Don’t like what one shop does, go to another. It’s not for you to dictate to the people who OWN it I’m afraid.
No. Absolutely not. If you’re renting someone else’s property, you have to accept their rules. They OWN it after all - you don’t! If you don’t like it, find somewhere else. Simple.
It should be illegal for landlords to forbid pets. I don't care if they've had bad experiences before, it's part of the risks that come with the profits.
It's so humiliating to be an adult who has to ask a stranger for permission to have a pet. And it's *crushing* to be denied.
Maybe some people should focus on their own jobs rather than other people’s. All the time spent trying to get an #MBE was time NOT spent practicing #penalties. Distractions cost. #NotComingHome
@gerrydiamond71 Why is “This is a role for someone who believes children need clear, firm discipline” a problem? 🤷🏼♂️ I really don’t understand the issue with this.
Yes. A young person’s behaviour is a signal of what’s going on under the tip of the iceberg (ie their choice to misbehave) and it must be dealt with for everyone’s benefit.
A young persons behaviour is a signal of what's going on under the tip of the iceberg. One important signal is of the state of their nervous system and physiology, driving their behaviour🧠
@DeborahMeaden We’ve already let go too soon. Schools being back has caused thousands and thousands of kids and staff to self isolate already due to positive cases. It’s horrendous in schools. Next week will be hell. ☹️
@neupresident I take it you’re actively campaigning for schools NOT to return any time soon then? Only I haven’t seen or heard anything?! Don’t leave it too late. Now is the time to make it clear that teachers WON’T be returning on 8th March. #itsnotsafe#teacherswilldie#thisisnotok

JVT’s new “miracle COVID” - the only air-born virus freely passed between pupils in overcrowded unventilated classrooms of 30+ ... but always stop short of the “teacher’s desk”, only to re-emerge with potent force as the teacher pops into Tesco.
No.
No!

And @halfon4harlowMP the benefits of school closures (i.e. the move to nationwide provision of ‘remote learning’) are?
➡️ significantly reduced community transmission of COVID;
➡️ fewer critical cases in hospitals & fatalities; &
➡️ a swifter return to ‘normal’ life for all!
The impact of rushing to open schools: an epidemic of serious and chronic damaged child mental health as a result of death of their parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles. @halfon4harlowMP your rhetoric is deadly. Please stop. #schools#COVID19
@halfon4harlowMP Well yes, but a very dangerous ‘way’! 😞 I am saddened that you want to risk schools returning before it’s safe to do so. It just shows that whatever is going on, you will keep churning out the same rhetoric that suits your purpose. It will result in more deaths. Be careful!
We need to get our children learning again - with clarity from @educationgovuk and an education routemap out of the coronavirus.
The engine of Government should be directed towards opening our schools. We face an epidemic of educational poverty and mental health otherwise.
@halfon4harlowMP @thetimes Well I really hope they don’t - until it is SAFE but if they do and it’s too soon, YOU @halfon4harlowMP will have blood on your hands.
