As the Regional VC of NBCSL, I had the honor of attending our Spring Regional Meeting this past weekend in Denver.
Legislators from across the country,traveling from as far as Maine to Alaska came together with a shared purpose: to learn, collaborate, and exchange best practices.
Under the Republicans’ budget plan, Missouri’s neighborhood public schools are underfunded by more than $190 million.
The Missouri Senate is about to vote on an amendment to FULLY fund our schools. This will be a roll call vote.
UPDATE: with 20 Republicans voting AGAINST fully funding schools, the amendment failed. Missouri will continue to have the lowest paid teachers in America and a majority of students reading below grade level.
