Fighting for affordability, public safety & a stronger CO.

“Pull back the curtain and find out what the men are doing, and women are doing behind that curtain with Senate Bill 135, because they are doing nothing more than increasing taxes on taxpayers when we are one of the most unaffordable states in the nation. How about the governor talk about that?” - @SenKirkmeyer

These charges are sickening, vile, and beyond disturbing. My heart breaks for victims and I am praying for every child and family impacted.
I have zero tolerance for anyone connected to crimes against children. Period.
Colorado’s roads didn’t fall apart because of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. They fell apart because Democrats put transportation last for decades.
Now @MichaelBennet made it clear- he wants to gut TABOR and raise costs on Colorado Families.
Government needs to do its job: fix the roads, fund the basics, and stop blaming taxpayers for bad priorities.
Protect the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. Fund our roads.

Colorado roads rank 47th in the nation. HB-1430 is another dishonest tax-and-spend scheme disguised as “transportation funding.”
Democrats are asking voters to trust them with billions more in redirected revenue while pretending a temporary gas tax reduction somehow offsets the long-term costs to taxpayers. Coloradans need that money to fix our roads, not another pet project for the Democrats.

After 11 PM on the Senate Floor, Democrats are STILL trying to make Colorado more expensive.
More taxes. More fees. More attacks on TABOR.
Families are tapped out while government keeps growing and paychecks keep shrinking.

Colorado is getting crushed.
Costs up. Roads falling apart. Crime rising. Families fed up.
Eight years of one-party Democrat control did this.
Coloradans have a choice:
Nominate someone ready to fight and govern on Day One…or risk losing this state completely.
I’m ready.

Today, on the 75th National Day of Prayer, we pause to give thanks for the blessings of faith, family, freedom, and the greatest nation on Earth. America was founded on the principle that our rights come from God, not government, and we must never lose sight of that truth.
God bless our families, God bless Colorado, and God bless the United States of America.
🚨Democrats are trying to chip away at TABOR again.
I’m in Senate Appropriations right now fighting to protect your refunds, HB26-1419.

Democrats to voters , “Go pound sand!”
Coloradans passed a “truth in sentencing” ballot initiative.
This is what happens with Democrat one- party control! 👇
Unfortunately, SB-115 passed the Senate today, and therefore, violent criminals are one step closer to being released into your community. @Sen_John_Carson was right when he said we don’t need this bill because we already have parole. Once again, the Democrats show they are soft on crime. #copoltics
Heartbroken to share this news about my good friend, Lynn.
Most recently, she served as one of my legislative aides, bringing sharp insight, professionalism, and a true love for Colorado politics and life under the Golden Dome.
For decades, Lynn helped tell Colorado’s story with honesty and grit, earning the respect of so many across our state.
Please keep Lynn and the entire Bartels family in your prayers. If Lynn’s work or friendship ever touched your life, I hope you’ll leave her a kind note or send a card. 🙏🏻🩷
Today is National Fentanyl Awareness Day.
In 2021, Phil Weiser said fentanyl was “killing our kids.”
Four years later, Colorado families are still living through this crisis.
Colorado needs stronger enforcement, real accountability, and leadership that delivers results.
🕐 Tune in tomorrow at 1 PM with @MandyConnell@KOAColorado
We’ll sort through the Capitol chaos so you don’t have to.
What should we put on the legislative hot seat this week?
Say goodbye to your TABOR refund.
Colorado families deserve the full story.
SB26-135 isn’t just about education, it’s about whether taxpayers keep their refunds or government keeps them forever.

The assassination attempt last night at the Correspondents Dinner is a sobering reminder of the risks facing public servants and those around them
I’m very thankful the President and everyone were kept safe by fast-acting law enforcement, including the Secret Service officers who have not been paid in over 70 days.
I’m grateful for the officers who acted quickly to protect our leaders and I am praying for all those affected.
Political violence has no place in our country.
