It's a small thing, but I appreciate the responsiveness and hard work of Muni Public Transit. This fall while doorknocking, I saw that trash had accumulated in the yard of one of my constituents, downhill from a bus stop. I reached out to the Dept, and they installed a trash can.
Thanks @ForrestDunbarAK The Senate State Affairs Committee will hear from the AG on Thursday afternoon. I am not sure why Alaska would want to join a lawsuit against protections for people with disabilities. Watch https://t.co/z4FGaAzie5. #akleg
This lawsuit seeks to eliminate Section 504, which protects people with disabilities from discrimination, by declaring it unconstitutional. Alaska should NOT be a party to this suit, and I hope that disability advocates & Alaskans with disabilities make their voices heard. #akleg
Dear Georgia Attorney General Carr,
As a parent of a child with disabilities, I’m outraged that Georgia has joined a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Section 504—a law that protects millions of students. This isn’t just a “legal strategy”; it’s a reckless attack on our children’s rights. I urge you to amend the pleadings now.

I considered Rev. Greene a personal friend and appreciated his wise counsel. I met him at his home in East Anchorage a number of times and know how much he was loved by his family. A true Alaskan and a patriot, Rev. Greene will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. 2/2
Today, the first day of Black History Month, our community celebrates the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. William Greene. I regret that I was not able to make it back to Anchorage this weekend to join the service, but I appreciate a friend sharing these photos with me. 1/2

The Legislature is back in session! I'm honored to have been sworn into a new, four-year term, and I look forward to two productive years with the current Legislature. #akleg
Went with @jessekiehl and dropped off donations at the MLK Day Drive for AWARE and the Glory Hall organized by the Black Awareness Association here in Juneau. Thank you also to everyone across the state doing volunteer work today. A day on, not a day off! #mlkday#mlkdayofservice
I know why it's not, but I still think it should be a bigger news story that the budget Governor Dunleavy proposed has a $1.5 billion deficit, which would spend down about half of Alaska's accessible savings. #akleg
The Alaska Bar Association, in partnership with Alaska Legal Services & the Court System, is again offering a free, drop-in legal clinic on MLK Day, the 20th. If you have challenges in any of these listed areas, please stop into the B&G Club in Mountainview from 12 to 4! #MLKDay
Privatizing the Post Office would be one of the worst federal policies imaginable for Alaskans already dealing with high cost of living. If it went through, Alaskans could rightly hold Trump-supportimg members of our Congressional delegation responsible.
