SEN. KEVIN VAN WINKLE DEMANDS THE AUDIT COMMITTEE INVESTIGATE & HOLD ACCOUNTABLE JENA GRISWOLD FOR HER LEAK & SCANDAL COVER-UP.
(Greenwood Village, CO) – State Senator Kevin Van Winkle, who is a member of the Legislative Audit Committee (LAC), sent a letter to legislative leaders demanding an emergency meeting of the committee concerning the ever widening election scandal and cover-up involving the Colorado Secretary of State.
As disclosed this past week, the Colorado Secretary of State, Jena Griswold, posted highly confidential election system passwords online for months. The passwords were viewable by anyone, including county clerks, employees, and third-party vendors with physical access to election systems who are prohibited to have BIOS passwords.
Sen. Van Winkle agreed that her public response was insufficient and raised even more concerns than it addressed.
Again, the BIOS passwords access the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS), which runs “underneath” the operating system. Its vulnerabilities present such a grave threat according to Griswold’s own standards, which is why her own election rules forbid their disclosure to all but a few trusted State employees.[1] In the Tina Peters trial, a senior State official even testified that release of these passwords in a single county represented a grave threat.
The Colorado Republican Party commends Sen. Kevin Van Winkle for his commitment to election security and building trust with the public. We also join with Sen. Van Winkle in calling for legislative leaders, especial Republicans like LAC Chairwoman Rep. Lisa Frizell, to organize an emergency hearing that allows lawmakers to get to the truth of what the Secretary knew and when she knew about it.
In Colorado, Republicans ran a bill requiring medical attention be given to a child that survives an abortion and is living outside the womb. Democrats killed the bill. Make no mistake, Democrat lawmakers are all for late-term and post-birth abortion.
@PatrickWarnaka @DagnyforDA But that's not correct. JD 23 was created in 2020 by House Bill 20-1026 https://t.co/AYNirHlmr6. I sponsored both JD23 (1026) and HCR 22-1005 (later known as Amendment D), and helped pass both. Both are positive for DougCo and Colorado, but HB20-1026 was the creation, not Amend D
Today, Ready Colorado celebrates the signing of House Bill 24-1448! In an incredible victory for kids, Colorado’s school funding formula will now prioritize and support the unique needs of students. #COpolitics
#Coleg does not have to deal with this critical issue, because it is working hard to protect juvenile criminals from accountability and consequences. They have their priorities, and unless you are a criminal, you are not one of them.
I joked in committee that I don’t agree often with @SenatorKVW, but when we do, it’s pretty great. Together we passed a bill out of committee to increase hospital transparency and consumer protections for Coloradans on a 7-2 vote. #coleg#copolitics
UNANIMOUS! The Senate's Health & Human Services committee voted unanimously to approve my bipartisan bill with @SenatorKVW, legislation helping youths in foster care get placed with kin and family members. #COLeg#COPolitics

I wish someone would report the truth, this was retaliation against a nonpartisan staffer who tried to protect other nonpartisan staffers from harassment. https://t.co/ez8ypKqySJ
Dem Leaders are backing another measure that will raise the cost of living for all of Colorado while putting many out of a living completely...appeasing their billionaire buddies, but making the average citizen’s life more difficult and destroying our economy. #copolitics
We honor the heroes who laid it all on the line that September morning. We remember the lives lost and the lives changed forever.
Today and every day, we will #NeverForget.
17 yrs ago, we received a terrible reminder of the evil in our world. In the midst of horrific tragedy America stood strong. We will never be the same, but we will always resilient. Today we honor the memory of those who died, and those who keep us safe. #NeverForget
