HB 1042 is an anti-victim bill that would poorly notify the victims of release & disregards their pain & trauma. A promise was made during sentencing. A murderer/sex offender could serve life w/o the chance of parole/ much shorter sentence b/c of medical parole or resentencing.

Gov. Shapiro claims he will 'stick by a victim’s side every step of the way' & support them. Yet he has stayed completely silent on the violent murderers who could have a chance to be resentenced & the sex offenders who could be released. Gov. Shapiro’s silence speaks volumes.

In this budget,@PASenateGOP ensured that our nursing homes are better funded. A lot of you may have family & friends in nursing homes & it is important that they are fully staffed & have the resources to take care of them.

Parents raising a student w/ a disability or learning difference may need resources that some schools aren't able to offer. If PA opts into the FSTC, scholarships could be used for tutoring, evaluations, or tuition for a school that suits their needs.

@GovernorShapiro’s price cap isn’t helping to lower ⚡️bills bc there is not enough energy supply to meet the demand the PJM Grid is facing. Instead of regulating our way out, we need to start building more power plants in order to lower prices for PA’ians & increase our baseload.

Democrats’ criminal friendly bill not only gives 2nd degree murder convicts a chance for release but also gives ALL prisoners a “get out of jail free card” titled “medical parole” meaning sexual predators like Jerry Sandusky would be release eligible for any number of reasons.
