Postdoc at the Broad Institute studying image analysis and deep learning. Between analyzing images🔬, video games🎮 and movies, I get a lot of screen time.
Check out our team’s latest video tutorials that @bdiazrohrer and I put together for i2k: 1) how to use StarDist and CellPose in @CellProfiler and 2) how to classify cells using CellProfiler Analyst.

@cytoskeletown Send them our paper 😉 ! We wrote it to be an on-ramp for biologists who are new to quantitative bioimaging and get them thinking about the critical questions for any bioimaging experiment from sample prep through data presentation and analysis. 🔬🧫👩🔬 https://t.co/1BlWDfZMkN

My book is done. I need to write a conclusion to the last chapter and will likely rewrite some paragraphs, but I won't make major changes anymore. So if you're interested in building reproducible analytical pipelines with #RStats, take a look it's free: https://t.co/Vx8LGpddwR
We're hiring for our Postdoctoral Training Program in #BioimageAnalysis! Are you a wet lab biologist who wants to move into computational tools and workflows? Do you love collaborating with others & solving puzzles? Do you want a career-specific training program?
Have been impatiently waiting weeks for today! Can't wait to work with TWO fantastic groups of scientists to help make better imaging and image analysis educational materials, and to help image analysts work better together. Dream come true!
Sharing this little gem for everyone who has ever suffered through being sent a spreadsheet and told to figure it out... "The “Data Horror Stories Song”, inspired by a tweet by @rogierK and commissioned by @LisaDeBruine: #rstats#S…https://t.co/YO4r9XBcqR
I also see a trend for less play time during summer but this might have more to do with what games came out then than with something about the month itself (e.g., weather). More to come soon! 😉
Here I’m graphing daily play time summed for myself and my partner. Overall, some months show higher play times during the weekends but I’m a little surprised we seem to play pretty consistently throughout the week during most months.
#JNeurosci: Huang et al. @DrexelMedicine found that the raphe GABAergic and newly identified glutamatergic (Vglut3) neurons are better positioned to modulate hippocampal theta activity, in contrast to the raphe serotonergic neurons.
