The #GRCS has officially signed an MoU w/ @oicgambia at the prestigious #SDKJ Int’l Conference Center.

The MoU signifies a commitment to providing crucial humanitarian services on emergency first aid & referrals during the upcoming OIC summit from April 31st to May 5th, 2024.

@GambiaRedCross we just handed over the 2nd solar powered water system to community of Boy Fulbeh in Central River Region bringing the total of 12 in these two regions in the past 4 years. We committed to serving communities @IFRCAfrica @AclaudondeV @UNICEFGambia @UNFPATheGambia

Last night, in our role as a neutral intermediary, we successfully facilitated the release and transfer of 17 hostages from Gaza to the Rafah border.

We also facilitated the release of 33 Palestinian detainees from Israeli places of detention to the West Bank.

These releases are part of our multi-day operation, which includes the entry of needed aid into Gaza.

Amidst the traditional and long-standing debate over the origins of Jollof rice, locally called Benachin, the Gambia’s phenomenal chef, Saikou Bojang, guided the country’s Chef’s Association to a Jolof rice triumph among countries claiming to be the home of Jolof rice, said he did not go to compete but only went to settle a dispute that the Gambia is the origin of Jolof rice.
