Decihertz GW detectors may provide early, precise sky localization for neutron-star mergers and detect IMBHs at extreme redshifts. A major step toward true multi-messenger astronomy.

IndIGO-D exploits the rapid evolution of binaries in the decihertz band to bridge the gap between millihertz and terrestrial observations, enabling early warnings on timescales from months to hours and enhancing the prospects for multi-band and multi-messenger discoveries.

Thanks the many advisors, enablers and the hard working past & present team members over the past 12 yrs.
Time for the @LIGOIndia team to celebrate and then proceed full steam ahead

Indian scientists have played a key role in the detection of the heaviest and first-of-its-kind intermediate-mass #BlackHole. The Gravitational Wave research group led by Prof @SenguptaAnand@iitgn has contributed to this significant discovery.

So we did have some observational evidence for IMBH in optical astronomy. But GW190521 is a first direct observation of IMBH in GW astronomy. How they are formed remains an open problem in astrophysics.

Some ultra luminous x-ray sources are suspected to be IMBH with black hole mass of 100 to 1000 solar masses. Also, the spiral galaxy NGC 4395 appears to contain a black hole 350 thousand times the mass of the sun. The GW observation of IMBH merger is the first of its kind!
@royalsundaram After complaining to IRDA, I got my certificate in a few hours. U're definitely not getting my business again.
Feel lucky I didn't have to claim anything last year - can only imagine what an ordeal that would have been.
Here is some free advice - fire your cust care guys.
Anyone having @royalsundaram Royal Sundaram car insurance? It has now been a year - still waiting to receive my policy kit. They promise to call you back and never do.
Strongly advise my friends not to go for this sloth of an insurance company. Pathetic service.
