@clahanna Looked on TV like Brady shook his head in disgust. Does he really not understand why there’s booing? Maybe someone should bring him up to speed. @ian_mendes
@SunGarrioch@OttawaCitizen Obvious marketing blunder, but Sens ownership also surprisingly ignorant of the team’s history. They may want to take some time to get up to speed on the Hasek history before the 4 Nations cup and get ahead of it. @ian_mendes
Improvements to OC Transpo's realtime data were promised just under a year ago, and we're starting to see the results now. What's actually changed, and why is it really exciting?
I've written about some of the highlights:

On Monday, November 27th join Councillor @WilsonLo24 and I from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm for a virtual public meeting on the latest Bus Route Review. Planners from @OC_Transpo will have a short presentation followed by a Q&A period. Click here for more details: https://t.co/HR58ZdFDXZ
@DavidHillWard3@primetimesens@OC_Transpo I also don’t want to be on 74/75/73 buses as they increase my commute by 10 minutes or more. This is above and beyond the 10 minute increase due to the Woodroffe detour across Baseline due to LRT construction.
@DavidHillWard3@primetimesens@OC_Transpo I already have to walk to and wait at the far end of Tunney’s for an express after getting off the train. I’ve no interest an extra transfer at Fallowfield on the way home, especially during winter.
@DavidHillWard3@primetimesens@OC_Transpo Further, I have a son at Algonquin and he sometimes can’t get on a full 75 coming home as it is. I’m concerned about how full those buses will be assuming the plan is that they take in the extras capacity.
@DavidHillWard3@primetimesens@OC_Transpo I understand that there will be improved service locally. The problem is that it’s at the expense of service to and from downtown. We need to understand these changes in terms of capacity per hour by express and regular routes (74, 75, 73). I’ll follow up with an email.
@DavidHillWard3@primetimesens@OC_Transpo Unfortunately the capacity will be greatly reduced to and from Tunney’s based on the cancellation of several routes. Can you comment on the analysis that was done and the anticipated real world impacts for riders? I’m quite concerned based on what’s been shared to date.
@WilsonLo24@mrs_smashysmash One option would be to have Tunney’s to Strandherd park and ride expresses. What raising taxes or bus fares? Not popular of course, but cutting service as suggested has to be a last resort. That anyone on council is supportive before consultation is shocking and reckless.
@WilsonLo24@mrs_smashysmash Further, I wonder where the stats are coming from for these recommendations. Everyday I see people getting on the bus with cards that haven’t been tapped or don’t work. Not counted, not paying. Also, how do you track bus stats back to Barrhaven when we don’t tap at Tunney’s?
@WilsonLo24 I can’t speak to the local aspects of these routes except for the 271, however, I park at Fallowfield and can’t imagine coming back to Barrhaven without the capacity of these routes. We need to clearly understand how that capacity will be replaced.
@WilsonLo24 CTV says that the following routes will be removed - 270, 271, 273, 278. Is this accurate? That would be crazy to say the least. Has anyone from the city tried to head to Barrhaven from Tunney’s? No way we can sit on the 74 and 75 milk-runs. What’s going on?
