If you're struggling to get your first payout, this is for you.

You can check my profile. I had zero payouts for 7 years. Now I'm getting payouts every other months. I'm still not where I want to be with consistency, but I'm getting there.

There is no magic and no luck. Trading is measurable. You need to find out what works for you and what makes you fail.

For me, technical analysis was never the problem. My biggest problems were impatience and trading nonstop. Right now, @Topstep Lockout Button helps me control that, but the main goal is to control it with my own mind.

Also, stop jumping around different prop firms. Many traders spend too much time worrying about payout caps, rules, and promotions. When you know how to trade, those things matter much less. The goal is to get funded and make money from your trading.

I know @MichaelPatak has said this before: you only need one account to trade. I have 2-3 accounts, but at any given time I only have one account actively available to trade. It keeps my focus sharp and helps me stay disciplined.

One more thing: your first payout is very important. Not because of the money, but because it proves to your mind that you can actually do it. Before my first payout, it always felt like something other traders could do but not me. Once you get that first payout, a lot of that mental blockage starts to disappear.

Think of it like a breakout in trading. Price can hit a resistance level many times and fail. But once it finally breaks through, the path becomes much easier. Your first payout is that breakout. It tells your mind, "I can do this." From there, the focus becomes repeating the process.

If you want to make trading your career, Trading in the Zone and The Best Loser Wins are must read books. I still read them again and again.

Just been a terrible month. After taking 3 payouts in March with @Topstep, I started April poorly and blew 3 XFA and 10 combines (reached max purchase limit). Overconfidence and a reckless mindset got the better of me. Taking the rest of the month off to reset. Back with a bang in May! Cheers 🥂

No payout for 7 years. 3 payouts in 30 days. Payouts are coming now. Need to tighten up my own rules and discipline! Cheers.

85% of my trades are come from $MES and $MNQ. Just 15% from ES. I don’t touch NQ. Sometimes I even forget that I don’t need to trade ES or NQ for big wins. Also, it’s easier to scale and keep your emotions under control when your position size is small!!!
