My thoughts, and the thoughts of millions of Canadians, are with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II today. We’re wishing her a fast and full recovery from COVID-19.
I have some additional news to share this evening. Unfortunately, the results of Sophie’s COVID-19 test are positive. Therefore, she will be in quarantine for the time being. Her symptoms remain mild and she is taking care of herself and following the advice of our doctor.

Otter update: our staff are lowering the water level @Vangarden pond in order to catch remaining koi. One koi has been saved and is now at @vancouveraqua. The otter has taken 10 koi and live traps have been placed to catch it. @Vangarden and the public park remain closed.
@Riyber @cautiousmum I love the attention National Drowning Prevention Week on social media from both the Red Cross and Lifesaving... especially in light of the recent drownings in BC. I too have found the flurry of notification too much to read at once so have muted them for the time being 😉
The third week of July is National Drowning Prevention week. I was pleased to host the BC/Yukon Lifesaving Society and a group of families at the @GovHouseBC pool for Swim to Survive training, teaching the skills necessary to survive an unexpected fall into deep water.
