Two years ago, we embarked on a journey to rebuild our sim UI, assembling a team of engineers, designers, and UX professionals to tackle this challenge.
At long last, the initial version of the UI is complete, and we are thrilled to be sharing it with you all in Season 4!
@TheRealAndyMc would love to hear either your thoughts or anyone else working on BF6 as to why this type of UI treatment is such a staple in today’s first person shooters? I can think of several reasons why it’s such poor User-Centered design. Why prioritize looks over function?
BREAKING: YouTuber Outdoor Boys(14.8m subs) just announced he’s retiring the channel for now.
One of the most wholesome creators on the platform stepping away due to the fame and to focus on helping others/his children’s channels.
End of an era 😢
They may not be against it but, if it isn't easier than transacting on, for example, Robinhood, web3 isn't ready for the "traditional gamer".
The user experience leaves much to be desired.
idk man i'm pretty sure normies and traditional gamers aren't actually against web3/crypto gaming
found this gem in an OpTic video from a couple months ago
so what's the friction?
@Mikeipecac@ARCRaidersGame@MarathonTheGame Yeah, I have to think that the acquisition serves more as a distraction than an empowerment for the dev team. And it’s not to say the bones arent there. There’s a ton of potential but, where it is 5 months till release is kind of insane haha.
Played both. @ARCRaidersGame starting their tech test during @MarathonTheGame Alpha is the best thing that could’ve happen to Marathon given its current state. Competition breeds excellence but, I have low expectations for Bungie’s response based on how big of a blowout this was.
As someone who wants Marathon to succeed, I’m sad. I feel like the
Alpha was a pretty big fail.
* The code rollouts were messy, and nowhere near enough were given out.
* A lot of people liked it, but very few had it click. Almost everyone was back on other games after a few days.
* Another extraction shooter came out during the Alpha that EVERYONE seemed to love.
The base game is solid. The gunplay is fantastic. The potential is absolutely there. I still intend to try the game at launch and I hope Bungie has more tricks up their sleeves to make Marathon much more exciting that the Alpha showed.
I’m not a Bungie shill, and I’m not a Marathon hater. I’m just breaking it down for y’all. That was a rough Alpha. What do you think?
GTA 6 has taken longer to develop and cost more than it took to build Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
Burj Khalifa:
Cost: 1.5 billion USD
Time: 6 years to build
GTA 6:
Cost: 2 billion USD (Estimated)
Time: ~13 years (full production ~8 years)
@ARCRaidersGame been loving the game! A masterclass on immersion.
I hope the team will consider first-person for the future. It would be the best and most approachable extraction shooter that spans across all platforms and it wouldn’t even be close.
YouTube TV announced today that they will soon allow customers to build their own multiview options, including both sports and non-sports content.
So rather than only choosing from predetermined options, you’ll be able to create your own customized version.
That’s fantastic.

Ok but like, raise your hand if you were the pal who hit the button to launch oblivion remaster on store pages when he looks at his watch and says…
“…Now”
Definitely dreaming but, I would love for there to be a future world where both shooting, and movie theaters showing IMAX 70mm is the new norm. It's something you just can't come even close to producing in most home theaters. Would set theaters apart once again (even tho its $$$)
SINNERS cheat sheet for various formats available and locations featuring @IMAX 70mm film and GT laser, standard 70mm, and more.
Hope this clears up any confusion.
Man this gets my blood boiling. Passionate Oblivion fans who have the skillset to put in years worth of work getting Skyblivion to where it is today just for it to be overshadowed by an “official remake”. Skyblivion shouldn’t be going away but, what a bunch of assholes.
