@JoeCarlasare I think it will continue to be more muted as time goes on. Try to do my part by ramping DCA during the lows and pulling back, a little, when things get frothy. I don’t sell into strength though
@HodlMagoo Wish someone would have the balls to remind him the banks don’t protect anyone. They crashed the economy with their reckless behavior and will do the same again. Sure is fun to watch him freak out that their monopoly on ‘money’ is at risk
Bitcoin is not apolitical, it is anti-political.
Separating money and state IS removing the state.
Bitcoin is for people who don't want to be coerced by criminals who happen to have won a non-voluntary popularity contest.
It is an antidote to politics.
That's the whole point
Imagine that building a house by hand take 10 people
Then somebody invent the shovel and now it takes 3 people
What happens next?
Do 7 people lose their job?
No
The number of houses increase by 3x
Why?
Because everybody wants more houses, one in the city, one at the beach, one in the mountains, etc etc
The demand for houses is infinite.
Now replace “shovels” with “AI” and “houses” with the “economy” and you will understand why there’s not gonna be any mass unemployment caused by AI
@mcuban Let companies compete with different combinations of products / pricing. When has government involvement ever driven down costs and increased quality? Please, name an example. Why is healthcare any different?
People voluntarily trade their money for the value he has helped to create and his wealth is largely a result of the way others value his compnany. He didn’t hoard billions in a vault, the market determines the value of what he created (the shares he owns). Voluntary market participation is moral. You are arguing for involuntarily theft because you happen to dislike the outcome. How brave of you to advocate for the end of property rights and using the force of government guns for the outcome you want.
@jimstewartson ‘Zero out’? You mean let the government steal what isn’t theirs at gunpoint….do you really think that would change anything? Might it just further exacerbate waste and cronyism?
Bitcoin doesn’t have a plot. It just is….the asset with the best monetary characteristics to protect against debasement. It is people who lose the plot due to their impatience and short term thinking. Bitcoin is the same thing it has been since its inception, Mark changed his mind, and will probably do so again.
