While you wait to get noticed and seize your opportunity when it does happen, what have you been doing or currently doing to improve yourself to give your best shot to seize that glorious day when it finally arrives? Copy pasta is not the solution! (9/9)
Another myth is that only hard-core gamers get picked or do well as scholars. I have seen many examples of inexperienced beginners with only a passion and drive to learn and persevere end up outperforming some of these hc gamers. (8/9)
I am interested in some of these potential candidates. But I just move on to the next person because anyone giving up that easily probably would do the same when facing adversity playing the game as well. (7/9)
Some scholars looked for a long time and close to gave up, but took a few more steps and got recruited. I have circled back many times where initial timing was not right and was dismayed to see people already give up on their search. (6/9)
Only about 6% land a scholarship just based on numbers. In other platforms that do heavy marketing and promotion the chances are worse: sub 1%. You are unlikely to see instant success just based on the law of large numbers. (5/9)
If a candidate shows a uniquely creative form of presentation that lands them a scholarship, I advise against doing the same "copy cat" method. The first time was fresh and creative but subsequent times from others will lead to you being ignored. (4/9)
