Curious if anyone else had the same experience.
Basically, I would put it like this: the Pageau bros open the world to you, giving you access to more of reality, to the treasury of the past and of world culture (artistic, mythological, philosophical). You can begin to see the structures that are actually primary to human thought and experience and thus be in solidarity with others across time and space, inhabiting a shared cosmological grammar. In short, they expand your horizons. โฏ๏ธ
On the other hand, apologetics (of pretty much any stripe) largely offers you a truncated, miniature world to live in, a Procrustean bed which everything is cut to fit. It might seem alluring if you don't feel you even have a world to live in, but that doesn't make it any less a snowglobe and you its denizen. This becomes really clear via the endemic intrumentalisation of any interest in world culture, art, history, philosophy, science, etc, towards apologetic ends in these circles. Genuine interest is narrowed and limited to an acceptible and regulated set of domains of inquiry, with everything outside made into a rock quarry to be neurotically or brutishly mined to reinforce the slowglobe world.
Nick: I am pushing White Power
"I want White politicians, judges, lawyers, businessmen, donors that know they are White fighting on behalf of White Civilization. And that is the last thing Vance, Thiel and Tucker want you to believe." ๐ฅ
"A pure man, without nationality (race) is an abstraction. Just as there cannot be an apple without the genetic determination of a certain kind, so too, and even more evidently, there cannot be a man without individual national (racial) determination." - St. Dumitru Stฤniloae
