The Midnight network is moving into its next stage.

Today, permissionless smart contract deployment is live on Midnight mainnet, giving builders more freedom to deploy and enabling contracts to programmatically deploy other contracts.

And that’s not all in our latest State of the Network:

👉 @GeroWallet 2.7.1 brings full Midnight dApp support
👉 @googlecloud launched a Midnight testnet faucet
👉 @Noctis_Zone is live on Preprod
👉 @Urafinance is testing DUST sponsorship for applications
👉 37 developers completed the @VIA_Labs cross-chain sprint
👉 @Midnight_kor Hackathon wraps this week

Cardano’s ninth anniversary is also a moment for me to reflect on my own journey. 🎂

I first heard about Cardano in November 2021, almost by accident, as a non technical student who walked into a Cardano Summit event at my institution out of curiosity. In 2022, @gomadrep became my real entry point into the ecosystem.

Since then, I’ve learned, built, contributed to Project Catalyst and governance, supported people discovering Cardano locally, and created educational content to make complex ideas easier to understand. What has kept me here is not only the technology, but also how supportive the ecosystem can be when you are willing to learn and contribute.

More than five years later, Cardano has become a big part of my life and perhaps even the direction of my future. I’m grateful to everyone who has been part of my journey so far, and to those who continue to contribute alongside me.

From my perspective, the next nine years could take Cardano to another level. With the Cardano 2030 Vision and continued progress in scalability through Hydra and Leios, I hope Cardano can reach far beyond people who already know #Web3. Especially in Africa, I would love to see Cardano help build a mobile first infrastructure where people and organizations can access real world services from their phones without needing to understand blockchain.

May God continue to protect Cardano and give us the strength, health and time to keep contributing to its success and witness what the next nine years will bring.

Happy 9th anniversary, @Cardano. 🎂

Long life, Cardano. #Cardano9 🔵

The Catalyst Pilot 2026 cohort is here.

12 projects bringing stablecoins, oracles, programmable tokens, and verifiable identity into real-world sectors.

40% of funding is paid up front, the rest is tied to on-chain adoption on Cardano.
