It’s very clear Daemyra is very dear to GRRM. They are the bottleneck of the dynasty from the Dance onwards as EVERY SINGLE Targaryen henceforth descends from them.

The 3 most important couples for the dynasty were: Aegon the Conqueror & Rhaenys (started it), Jaehaerys I & Alysanne (produced Baelon, Alyssa, & Daella which kept the same bloodline going) and Daemon & Rhaenyra who all Targaryens onwards descend from.

Only 7 Targaryen kings are Targaryen on BOTH sides and only Aegon III and Viserys II are from an uncle and niece marriage (all others are sibling marriages).

And lastly, not only do BOTH their sons become king, they both died on the same exact day, only 5 months apart. All roads lead to Daemyra 👑🐉
