Superman was good. Gunn should have kept his mouth shut about politics.
Yes, Superman is an immigrant—but he assimilated and loved the place he came TO SERVE.
The only real disappointment was that Superman essentially said he was human because he felt human—which is the argument for trans.
The performances were great. The direction was adept. The fight scenes were a little too CGI-overload for my taste.
Go see it. It’s fun. 8/10
@queenofaerobics You don’t understand—this is how he does things like heat homes. The first roadster paid for the S, which funded the Model 3, that became a car for everyone. This car, will sell out the handful they build and push Tesla forward. How have you helped humanity?
This is NOT a skit.
Jaime West, a Democrat running for Fayette County Council in Indiana, gave an EMBARRASSING interview where she appears to mumble and rant the entire time.
Is she intoxicated?
Tesla's Massive Impact as of Q3 2026
With 10.2 million Teslas sold since 2012 here's a rough estimate of the annual impact of all those Teslas:
1) 4.3 billion gallons of gasoline not burned every year - avoiding roughly 38 million metric tons of tailpipe CO₂.
2) About $19 billion saved annually by not buying gas. Some of that goes to electricity, but most of it stays in drivers' pockets. Assumes 13,500 miles driven per year, 32 MPG (if they were driving an ICE car) and a fuel cost of $4.40 per gallon. These savings are quite conservative as fuel costs in Europe are more than double that in the U.S.
3) 10.2 million people (plus their families) who don't have to stop at nasty gas stations.
4) 360 million gas-station fill-ups avoided every year.
5) 2,867 fewer gas stations needed (assuming the average gas station sells about 1.5 million gallons per year).
6) 60 million hours of human time saved annually. Assuming just 10 minutes per gas-station stop and those avoided fill-ups save almost 60 million hours a year - equivalent to roughly 6,800 years of human life every single year. Home charging changes the refueling experience from something you actively do to something that happens while you sleep.
7) 10.2 million people who resolve most "recalls" with over-the-air software updates without wasting time at sleazy car dealerships.
8) No oil changes - so there's another 34.4 million gallons of motor oil saved (assuming oil changes every 5,000 miles and 5 quarts of oil used). Used-oil waste handling also disappears.
9) 10.2 million fewer tailpipes = better air quality, especially in urban areas. That means fewer asthma cases and less respiratory illness.
10) Millions of other maintenance items eliminated. No spark plugs, engine air filters, fuel injectors, fuel pumps, catalytic converters, mufflers, exhaust systems, alternators, starters, timing belts, or conventional multi-speed transmissions. Not all would be replaced every year, obviously, but across 10.2 million vehicles the cumulative reduction in parts, manufacturing, service labor, and waste is enormous.
11) Thousands of tons less brake dust every year. Applying EPA brake-wear estimates and published regenerative-braking reductions to 137.7 billion Tesla miles suggests roughly 2,200 - 3,250 metric tons of brake particulate emissions avoided annually.
12) Thousands of tons of gasoline vapors never enter the atmosphere. Teslas have no fuel tanks, gasoline lines or refueling events, eliminating evaporative hydrocarbon emissions from billions of miles of driving and billions of gallons of gasoline handling.
13) Potentially 3.7 billion cold starts eliminated every year. Cold starts can produce a disproportionate share of a gasoline car's local air pollution because the catalytic converter hasn't warmed up yet. Teslas simply don't have them.
14) Even idling disappears. If comparable gasoline cars averaged just five minutes of idling per day, 10.2 million Teslas represent roughly 80 to 155 million gallons of gasoline a year that isn't burned while going nowhere.
15) Tesla also eliminates an enormous gasoline supply chain. 4.3 billion gallons equals roughly 102 million barrels of gasoline a year, or about 280,000 barrels every day. That's the equivalent of roughly 1,400 gasoline tanker loads every day that don't need to be delivered to filling stations.
16) Millions fewer combustion engines producing engine and exhaust noise. At low urban speeds, EVs can be several decibels quieter than comparable gasoline vehicles. At higher speeds the advantage largely disappears because tires, airflow and road surfaces become the dominant sources of noise.
17) About 10 million people have (FSD ready) vehicles that have the potential for a built-in chauffeur! The car increasingly becomes a machine that can also give its owner time back.
18) And the safety impact may ultimately dwarf everything above. Teslas incorporate automatic emergency braking, active collision-avoidance systems, extensive crash engineering and increasingly capable driver-assistance software. Across billions of miles traveled every year, even relatively small improvements in accident frequency or severity can translate into meaningful numbers of injuries - and potentially lives - saved.
Note: I realize that not all 10.2 million Teslas are in operation today - sadly some were lost in accidents with Hondas (@WhamBaamX) and a few more were torn apart by @teardowntitan
I know this is not an exhaustive list - what did I miss?
🚨 EUROPE IS BEING CONQUERED BY ISLAM WHILE TEXAS IS STILL LETTING THEM BUILD.
TEXAS HAS THE RECORD. SO WHY IS THIS MINI-CITY STILL EXPANDING? WHAT ARE WE DOING, AMERICA!?
The highly controversial Islamic Center of Irving - already facing a record of incendiary sermons, sexual-abuse cases, and multimillion-dollar litigation - isn't just finishing another mosque
It is building the ICI Waqf Oasis - approximately 62,000 square feet of commercial space and apartments, projected to cost about $16.5 million and intended to generate roughly $1.5 million every year for the mosque, Islamic school, Tanzeel, youth programs, outreach, and other operations.
In other words: build the property and the community, collect the revenue, fund the institution year after year.
The project is now 85 percent complete.
On October 4, ICI holds a fundraiser to finish the final 15 percent. Donate $1,000 or more and supporters receive a commemorative “completion block.”
But before another block goes into this project, Texans should understand what they are helping build around them and who holds the property.
The main ICI property is held by the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT) as a waqf.
NAIT is not some random real-estate company. Its history is intertwined with the institutional network that grew out of the Muslim Students Association and the Muslim Brotherhood milieu in North America.
That matters because the waqf model is about permanence: preserve the asset and use its proceeds to support designated institutions over the long term.
The Oasis takes that model and adds a revenue engine.
And look at what has already come from this campus.
Imam Muhammad Abdullah told the room:
“If we don’t like the way the police is dealing with us, we got to become the police. You have to get politically organized. That was the Black Panther Party.”
He has talked about entering public office to “strengthen Muslim American identity” and “show the true light of Islam in the public square.”
Then Dr. Rudolph “Butch” Ware III, the 2024 Green Party vice-presidential nominee, stood on that stage and declared:
“Victory over the empire is promised… All empires fall. It is only a matter of time. I was never expecting that Allah was going to give me the opportunity to run on a presidential ticket that is designed to end the American empire now.”
🚨NOW LOOK AT THE OTHER RECORD FROM THIS CAMPUS.
Former head imam Zia ul-Haq Sheikh was ordered to pay $2.55 million after a woman said he began counseling her at the mosque when she was 13, groomed her for years, and later had a sexual encounter with her at a motel when she was 19.
Hired in 2005. Forced out in 2017. Judgment in 2019. Affirmed on appeal in 2021.
$1.5 million for mental anguish. $750,000 in exemplary damages. $300,000 in attorney's fees.
Sheikh denied the allegations. This was a civil judgment, not a criminal conviction.
Then security guard Syed Humzah Hashmi pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child and child-pornography counts after a boy attending the Islamic School of Irving said Hashmi took him into an empty classroom and assaulted him.
Twenty years.
🚨And now another lawsuit.
A 2026 lawsuit alleges that a woman cleaning the Islamic School of Irving on September 27, 2024, was raped by a 14-year-old former student — and that personnel failed to call police after she reported it.
The lawsuit seeks more than $1 million and names the Islamic Center of Irving, its school board president, and NAIT.
The petition says the juvenile later pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault and received 25 years. Those juvenile records are sealed. The civil allegations against the defendants remain pending.
Now go back to the construction site.
62,000 square feet. Commercial property. Apartments. A perpetual endowment structure. An estimated $1.5 million in annual revenue.
This is why October 4 matters.
They aren't simply finishing walls.
THEY ARE BUILDING THE FINANCIAL INFRASTRUCTURE TO FUND WHAT COMES NEXT.
TEXAS CAN SEE THE ENTIRE RECORD.
AND THEY'RE STILL POURING CONCRETE.
