We're taking some collateral damage from an HE/Bell fibre issue; we've adjusted BGP as well as we can to hopefully leave that aside until they stabilize again.
@shmick Not sure I can agree with that, over the past decade a lot of ink was spilled about lots of orgs moving to the cloud... And there's plenty of stories going the other way. My stance remains "colo *really* isn't dead or going away, but neither is cloud"

Sure, we're got a vested interest in colo & iron, but it's nice to see the validation that 'Cloud' isn't the be-all, end-all solution everyone hypes it up to be.
UPDATE: Here's a look at the transmission circuit that's been affected. We know this has made today exceptionally difficult for many of you, and we appreciate your patience. We will continue to share more information as it becomes available. #DarkTO
UPDATE: We're investigating reports that a barge carrying a crane came into contact with high-voltage transmission lines in the Port Lands area. We continue to try and reroute power to bring @TorontoHydro customers back as safely and quickly as possible. #DarkTO
Well we're okay for power in the Toronto datacenter (151 Front W); didn't even see a blip on the power monitoring equipment.
Also no power in downtown Toronto right now: https://t.co/iuytondSj6
