My latest: a bleary-eyed morning's musings on this world so many of us feel we must muddle through.
May it bring you some peace if you feel alone and lost in a world of gray.

Here. The original review that sparked the bullshit, and another recent one by Grayson leaning into the culture war bullshit painting Warhorse as full of people unknowingly supporting Vavra maintaining that he's some awful person.

@WiseWoodrow@ApollyonBlack@esjesjesj@KirscheVerstahl I resorted to a google search that cites the articles in an AI digest.
Literally every platform uses AI now.
You're on a platform that developed its own AI and continue to use it.
Could you be any more shamelessly, pointlessly pompous about your hypocrisy?
@wayfaring1_@ChristianHeiens It is only when actors hostile to liberalism use this to subvert the system that it winds up being a problem, and only if people don't care about the issue. The problem stems from apathy and people having too much relative comfort to care about the subversion happening.
@wayfaring1_@ChristianHeiens Real liberalism has indeed been tried. The problem is that it hasn't been safeguarded against infiltration, which is the one weakness it presents, that anyone can espouse their ideology as is their right. Doing so is of great benefit to liberalism because it allows improvement.
@wanderinghylian@ChristianHeiens If that's not what you mean when you talk about tearing down the institutions, you ought to clarify your definition, as you sound like an insurrectionist when you say you want to tear it all down and rebuild, the same way the Marxists do.
@wanderinghylian@ChristianHeiens When I hear "the institutions" I assume you mean the institutions that operate under the branches of the government (Judicial, Executive, Legislative) because this is what people typically mean when using that term, I.E. Senate, House, Supreme & Circuit courts, etc.
@wanderinghylian@ChristianHeiens So now you're talking out of both sides of your mouth. Are the institutions worth saving and using, or do they need to be torn down?
What are you even actually advocating for? Or are you just repeating talking points?
@wanderinghylian@ChristianHeiens Except you are ignoring the reality that the only means to tear down the institutions in question is by force, which means bloodshed will inevitably be necessary.
You are arguing for convenience while ignoring the human cost of what you argue for.
Whose sons are you killing?
@ApollyonBlack@esjesjesj@KirscheVerstahl Yes, the first game, the one I mentioned by name. The one that got him called a white supremacist because he didn't kowtow to your ilk.
Thank you for continuing to miss the point.
@wanderinghylian@ChristianHeiens The very thing I also despise on your side is the insinuation that the institutions are wholesale controlled by nothing but Marxists and aren't worth preserving or fighting for.
You are tacitly arguing for a civil war to supplant your own power structure. How are you different?
@wanderinghylian@ChristianHeiens Thank you for missing the point entirely.
I have zero illusions about communists being "good people". They are at vest woefully misguided and at worst actively evil.
This is entirely the reason why I despise being lumped in with them.
@hyperartF@esjesjesj@KirscheVerstahl And the fact that you can sit here and act like it's no big deal when thousands have been laid off for this utterly suicidal decision of idiots wanting to "own the chuds" tells me everything.
You don't actually care about the hobby or the industry. You just like being smug.
@hyperartF@esjesjesj@KirscheVerstahl So what happened to Volition?
What happened to Concord?
Why is Ubisoft downsizing?
Why does everyone hate Veilguard?
Why did Anthem flop?
It was studios that prioritized this stupid anti-white-male nonsense despite the fact that they are the largest demographic of gamers.
@hyperartF@esjesjesj@KirscheVerstahl Bioware is a shell of what it used to be.
Volition is dead.
Ubisoft has cratered itself into the dirt and is holding on by threads.
Time and time again this stupidity rears its head, and time and time again the mythical "modern audience" never appears to support these games.
@hyperartF@esjesjesj@KirscheVerstahl I have an issue with the pompous and insular brand of weirdos who have hijacked modern games who make games for themselves to soothe their fragile egos, forgetting that the whole point of making a game is to make something people want to enjoy and buy, and tanking studios.
@hypocane@mosthighzar@ChristianHeiens Hobbes, Paine, Mill and Popper did not in any way lead to Hegel and Marx. Marx was inspired by Hegel who was inspired by Kant, who was a strict universalist. Marx inspired Rousseau who inspired the Frankfurt school, which was a pedo cabal masquerading as philosophers
@cb75075@ChristianHeiens I've been trying for the better part of a decade, but it's a bit hard when everyone decides to be turncoats and punch holes in it because they can't stand the idea of barnacles existing.
