@IHitItWithMyAxe I am of belief that while being inconsistent over the entire book, the 3rd edition Forgotten Realms book was been having some of the most beautiful art - many of it were being hand painted it is seeming

@sashosan Our gaming sessions are usually being between 5 and 6 hours, and many of my preparations are of refamiliarizing myself with players' characters, NPCs, etc.

How much prep time are you being giving sessions as a GM? Are you being setting aside time to focus on new sessions, or are you being more "winging it" ?

@VonTzeuTzeu @shirleyishmael_ @ZakSmithSabbath @CORAL_WAVE80 @SycophantCum @DMLazenby_89 I have been keeping a notebook of which I will quickly scribbling down notes, such if I create an NPC on the spot, or mention a town being far away, etc. Sometimes after a session I am even remembering to adding those notes to my google documents!

A GM who was running a game for me many years ago was been using the Baldur's Gate soundtrack for many background musics.
