@Karl_Lauterbach
Dear Prof. Lauterbach
Some of the neighbourung countries (Austria, Netherlands) have approved Covid vaccine named Covaxin (by Bharat Biotech) but not by Germany. German consulate in India are rejecting the visas of those who took Covaxin.
Can you please help?
@BharatBiotech@SuchitraElla understand that #COVAXIN is still not approved by Germany 🇩🇪. Disappointed that this is still pending . @DrSJaishankar , shouldn’t this be discussed with your counterparts . Why discriminate between 2 approved vaccines in india ?
@PEI_Germany so when are you going to recognise Covaxin as an approved Vaccine? Can't still travel to Germany because you have not put it on the approved list more than 6 months after WHO approved it! Is it plain lethargy or something deeper.#PMOIndia#PMModiInEurope
So Germany does not accept Covaxin as a valid vaccine and to enter Germany one would have to prove urgency for travel (research conference/seminar is not game) and produce a -ve RT-PCR report (this is reasonable). I took Covaxin and won’t be able to present my work. Not happy
@OlafScholz Millions of Indian Parents have taken Covaxin&has helped India to keep Covid under control. Its accepted by most countries(EU neighbours/WHO).Germany still biased&not allowing thousands of Indian families to meet?Please allow short visa travel for parents with covaxin
Honble Olaf Scholz, we humbly request to include Covaxin for VISA. Nothing more convincing that our own PM, who recently visited Germany, also received covaxin & inspired by him many of us got same

@narendramodi@OlafScholz Sir kindly get Covaxin approved in Germany and other EU countries for ordinary Indian travellers who are being denied Schengen Visa because of this.
