SF Public Health Director Dan Tsai appeared on @KQEDForum on Wednesday to talk about what SF is doing in response to cychlorphine, an emerging powerful synthetic opioid that was detected in a recent fatal overdose of an SF teen.

Remember:
✅The safest thing to do is to not use illicit drugs
✅Carry Naloxone, you can get it here: https://t.co/W0rjgQYhPW
Naloxone can reverse an opioid overdose when given quickly. It works on all opioids, including newer types. ✅If you think someone is having an overdose, give naloxone right away, even if you are not sure what drugs they took.
Today, we mark 25 years since the September 11, 2001 attacks with remembrance and reflection.
@sfgov stands in solidarity with New York City and communities across our nation as we honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and all who responded with courage and compassion.
We remember. We stand together. We will never forget. 💙
🛴 🚲 E-bikes and scooters are a great way to get around the city. With more riders sharing our streets, riding safely matters.
We teamed up with community voices to share simple ways to follow the law, stay safe, and look out for everyone around you.
🚨Alert: This is a great weekend to take BART and avoid this👇
Caltrans will close the northbound U.S. 101 Bayshore Freeway between Cesar Chavez and 10th St in San Francisco beginning Friday, September 4 at 11 p.m. All lanes will reopen by Monday, September 7 at 6 a.m.
We are holding more than 500 city-funded service providers accountable for keeping their surrounding areas clean and safe. Every San Franciscan deserves a safe and clean neighborhood, and every person struggling on our streets deserves a real path to treatment and stability. Today, we’re announcing our stronger Good Neighbor Policy that will help us deliver both.
City-funded sites must perform regular perimeter checks, pick up trash, and address disruptive behavior outside their buildings.
When a neighborhood steps up to welcome a new facility, they shouldn't be punished with challenging street conditions and a lack of support. This policy had previously been inconsistent across city departments and difficult to enforce. Now, we are setting clear and consistent standards, offering training for our providers, and holding everyone accountable.
